Another Ag 4* Gone?

Sherman has a 7 year contract, aggy cant afford to pay Fran, Mikey and a new coach. They have the sherminator for at least 3 more years and by then if Briles has proven himself at baylor he will be at a better gig then aggy could offer.
 
aggy football is at about the same level as the US economy right now. It didn't get that way overnight, and there won't be a quick fix by hiring a new coach.

aggy has too many past and present coaches on the payroll already. What coach out there in his right mind would want to leave a comfortable job to take on rebuilding aggy. What coach would want to put up with the aggy beaurocracy and fanbase while the rebuilding's going on.

Point number three in this rambling post...aggy is surrounded by us, okie, and LSU. For the foreseeable future, there's not gonna be a lot of meat left on the bone for aggy to recruit, with or without the help of Fed-Ex.

No situation is completely hopeless, but I just don't see aggy being a significant factor in Big XII football for a long time. They're lagging behind us, OU, okie lite, Tech, and even Bible aggy. Short of leaving the Big XII for the Southland Conference, I don't see how aggy wins more games.
 
The Tulsa coach would not be accepted at A&M. Everytime that a coach has tried to install a legitimate passing game, it gets scrapped quickly. RC tried and gave up quickly. Fran tried and gave up a bit more slowly.
 
Even with his star dimmed, Spurrier would never go to aggy. First, it is not a big-time job. Second, the fans have unreasonable expectations, even when they are not sodomizing sheep. Third, he doesn't want to live in that piece of crap place. Fourth, he won't succeed there, and so he doesn't want to tarnish his legacy further, especially if he knows Mack is going to be beating him every year. It's such a ridiculous dream for aggy.
 
It will be a lot tougher to get busters to pay as much as they would have since so many have lost money in the market. Hard to raise money to give away to old coaches.
