Its hard to draw parallels between what Mack has done here and say, the Mcwilliams years, but this is reminding me alot of 1990. McWilliams had some really good recruiting classes and, if I remember right that 90 class wasn't one of em. I think we signed Steve Clements and butch Hadnot and a bunch what today might be 2 or 3 star players. That fall the team played lights out and won the conference championship. Of course they were so excited to get to wear black shoes in the Cotton Bowl they completely lost sight that they were playing a vastly superior Miami team with a chip on its shoulder.
It just looks like the players on our current team, and we are gonna be talented, and this 2013 class has plenty of talent, are gonna have to bring it together or else our next recruiting classes are really gonna be weak.

That is a pretty good DT group, IMO, if they stay healthy. I agree that the young guys need to step up. Where the lack of DL commitments hurts us is in 2014 and beyond.

Billings to BU and Robinson lost to Bama (not to mention Seals-Jones and some others)...recruiting is slipping. Swoggler is right, DL will be thin going into 2014.

Don't worry - Mack will know how to put a good spin on all of this...

Secret plan is to move LBs Edmond and Santos to DE/DT and Ridgeway to DT which will allow the young stud LBs to get playing time earlier (Cole, Jackson, Jinkens, Davis, Hughes). Then load up with DL talent in 2014.
