As for thier prediction on Dontre Wilson, I am more optimistic. Afterall, why would he be tripping this late if he weren't serious?

FWIW, Hookem.com is reporting that TCU has come out of nowhere to be a finalist and that, according to Billings' head coach, where he lands is a coin toss right now. Supposedly, Billings is going to announce either Monday or Tuesday.

Man, NSD cannot get here soon enough.
 
Lets wait and see how he does with his first whole season as a starter and the anchor of the D line before we send him to the pros
 
DT Malcom Brown did not redshirt. Team bio shows he played in all 12 games which surprised me as I did not see him at DT in every game. Maybe some was on special teams.

Hope he stays all 4 years.... a rising star!
 
According to Hookem, Bo Davis is making an in-home visit with Billings this afternoon. The guys over there seem to think Texas is now running behind TCU and Baylor in the Billings pecking order.

This is what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket crossing your fingers until Febuary if these guys sign. I think we should have went after a JUCO DT & DE. After this season we lose Whaley, Jeffcoat, Reggie Wilson and Dorsey. Not getting a DT or DE this year is going to hurt next year.

Not to derail this thread, but It will be a sad state of affairs for Texas if Billings is indeed choosing between Baylor & TCU over the Longhorns! I can hear the toilet flushing now...

Mack's failure to show Manny the door and bring in a DC stud is costing him big. Whatever success we are having repairing McWhorter's damage, is going to be undermined by Diaz.
 
I have a feeling that we are one more blowout by OU and / or a less than 10 win season away from having a new HC and staff.

Recruiting is fairly simple; win games, beat ranked opponents, don't get blown out, and the recruiting issue will turnaround....eventually. Unfortunately, we've forgotten how to do that the last three years.
 
Mack has never been known as an X and O type of guy, but rather as Coach February. He's now losing these head-to-head battles more often to the likes of aTm, TCU and Baylor. Not a good sign of things to come.
