man, those comments in that YouTube video are hilarious. In fact, all YouTube comments are pretty entertaining.
 
So, they recruit, signing day passes, announce they're going to the 3-4, then their DC bolts. What a clusterfuck and how ****** up for the recruits.
 
Everything's gonna be okay in moron...uhh...maroon world. With their new pro-style offense that's gonna be the rage of the Big XII, aggy won't need to play defense.
 
The Ags are hilarious. You can find many threads on their site talking about how they are relieved he is gone. You can also take a further look back and find many threads on how Herring>>>Muschamp.
 
I heard Jerry Gray mentioned on 610 in Houston this morning and his name has popped up on Texags. From those sources (obviously not very reliable), he's never had any interest from UT to come coach here. I was always under the impression that he was more interested in staying the NFL than coaching in college. Has Jerry Fray ever been considered for the DC position at Texas? I seem to remember talk about him, but it seemed like he rebuffed us.
 
I second the idea they give 'ol RC Slocum some serious consideration... after all he is tan, rested and ready - what more is he is not a 2%er. Whoooop!
 
There is a part of me that wonders whether Davie is signing up for this gig in order to be the natural successor at HC once Sherman quits/retires/takes a better offer/gets run out of College Station.

Anybody want to guess the over on when this happens, while I'm thinking about it?

If aggy lives up to their usual pattern, then once Sherman fails to impress after a year or two, they'll all convince themselves that Sherman has to go, and Davie will be their next savior. Rinse and repeat.
 
You'd have to think that Davie would not be who Sherman would want as a DC. It would be like Sherman being the starting QB while having a media darling back up QB in Davie.

If anything bad happens with the defense, they both share in the blame.

But if the defense is performing well while the team isn't meeting expectations, then you've got the anti-Sherman, pro Davie crowd making waves.

Personally, I'd love to see it.
