Really sorry to hear this about any athlete! I'm surprised they anticipate her to be back by conference play - ACLs usually take about a year to fully recover from. Maybe her tear is minor.......

Horrible news. Surely with all of the advancements in sports medicine someone could find the key to preventing this injury that plagues so many female athletes.

Off the top of my head, I think doctors, etc. think a big reason for the many ACL problems have more to do with the female anatomy rather than a lack of preventive measures.
