America - long live mediocrity!

It's OK because everybody is a winner! Even if you cry and quit! Way to go! Yeah everybody!!!!

the kid tops out at 40 mph, uh in little league the 6-8 years old play on a machine pitching at 38-40. Especially if the kid isn't wild and hitting kids then I see no problem other than a bunch of pussified parents.

Pussification is often used. But I was thinking about this story on the way to work this morning, and I like the word "Vaginafication".

I'll like Vaginas, but I like them between the legs of females, not between the ears of MALES & females.

I think maybe I'll move to Connecticut. It sounds like utopia.

Seriously, what a pathetic league! They should rename it, "The Whiny Titty-Baby League for Losers."

reading this story is like watching the kid ride his bike down the street with a helmet, elbo pads, knee pads and gloves....first i laugh, then i feel sorry the kid has parents that are doing a crappy job raising the boy for manhood.

lol, excel and get punished, it is becoming the American way. our country will continue to soften up until it can't defend itself

What the heck does a co-ed league have to do with anything? Honestly, I look at these threads and can't imagine that that we'll find poster who agree with BS like this and yet it happens. I guess there must be people out there who agree with not keeping score, we're all winners attitude or else it wouldn't exist.

Get rid of this "coed-league",and I'm being serious here. This fiasco alone proves that it's too complicated for parents and children alike. Girls should stick with softball or find enough girls who really want to play baseball and form their own league.

The real issue here has to do more with the fact that self righteousness and political BS is doing everything possible to blur the gender gap between the male and female youths of this country.

The only girl who should be pitching in this league is Tatum O'Neal. And that's only because as of the last time I watched The Bad News Bears she hadn't gotten her period yet, but she had her curve ball breaking 3 feet (plus or minus).

Will someone please think of the children?

This little thug may strike them out and make them cry.

That whole situation is just asinine. In every kid's league in America there a few kids that are substantially better than the other kids. That continues into adulthood as well. Learn to deal with it.

My kid threw that hard at that age and he wasn't considered exceptional by any means.

This situation reeks of political BS to me. I'm not one that believes suing people is generally the answer but in this case, if the facts are as reported, I think I would.

Wow. My first foray in this forum.

As a super competitive individual who coached youth baseball from T-Ball to Pony league for 12 years, I am not surprised by the ******** on this thread. I've seen Little League parents act like the game was the last battle of Armegeddon.

I've seen things, as most youth coaches have, that would curl your toenails. That parental attitude, not banning an over developed pitcher from pitching, is what would make me ashamed of my country.

The only win-at-all costs activity should be war and presidential politics.
