AM OU finally overtake Texas

I never thought this would ever happen, but it did this year. A&M finished #6 in the all sports, OU #12.

Texas is great in football and baseball, but we must not give way to the non revenue sports. This is just one year. Hopefully it doesn't happen again. Ugh!

This is important and rather embarrassing.

With all of the resources that are available to Texas’ athlethic programs, there isn’t an excuse for this. This isn’t Texas v. UCLA or Stanford where water polo and fencing enter into the picture. It is Texas v. aggy and ou. Kids do look at this and trend towards winners.

You can bet Sherman and Stoops will be stressing this.

it does him absolutely no good to point to DC standings to help otherwise. doesnt change the fact that we finished 6-7.

basically i dont think that it will impact our football program at all. helps the perception of our entire AD...but at the same time any AD with a dysfunctional football program isnt going to be received well in texas. we could win national championships in every other sport, and as long as our football team is crap, people will be upset.

Any team with a dysfunctional program will have a hard time making money. In time it will greatly affect the other programs which are like putting duct tape on a leaky boat. It stops the water for a little while but sinking is a sure thing.

Another sure thing is Brunch on the 4th.

Interesting with two national title game appearances, a title in mens swimming and a super regional appearance that would only be 15th. Amazing.

We went to Dirty's last weekend. Great burgers and the best shakes in town. I think the Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls has peanut butter pie. Maybe I'm thinking of the Frisco on Burnet Rd. I think those are the only two places I've ordered pie in the last year and I know I had peanut butter pie at one of them.

The same thing happened with the State Farm Lone Star showdown. Stop being AGGY and posting like they post. Yes, we kicked their *** in football and baseball but they won more games in March Madness than we did. There is no reason they should finish above us in all around sports. Should we panic ? No. But to compare it to a piece of ******* pie or a cheeseburger is . . . Aggy. All this goes for OU as well.

I haven't said anything that hasn't been posted on the Big 12 webpage. TEXAS was beaten by A&M and OU. They were also really close to losing to NU!

This is the first time that has happen.

You think I am an aggie? I guess the ME building at the corner of Speedway and Dean Keaton belongs to A&M....
