Voice of the Longhorns just mentioned that Etiers bomb has exceeded the total of all HRs hit last season. I'm guessin' he means regular season since we hit about 30 of 'em @UT Omaha.
Taking candy from babies is probably tougher than this. Workman and the boys never let 'em sniff 1st base and we go back to work in the top of six with a slim 4-run margin.
Are the Aggies really this bad, or are we really this good?? I realize we're catching them at their lowest point in the season, while they're catching us at our zenith . . . but the difference in these 2 teams is amazing. This looks like the Harlem Globetrotters against the Washington Generals.
Collazo got under the ball and then played it off the wall. Sorry aggy, that ain't the way it works as Camo steams into 2nd with an out.
OFs converge on the next pitch and it appears that they both must have yelled "YOURS" as there seems to be an error and your Horns have runners on the corners.
The Generals misplay means that Moldy is standing at 2nd with Camo having to stop at 3rd 'cause it's tough to pre-estimate the boneheadedness of aggy no matter how much experience you have with that kinda thing.
Dang K for the 2nd out. Still got a pair need to get around and tough the plate. Let's get the ball in play, Little Lusson.
It is unfair to blame Keyes for that K. Given his stroke this weekend and the fielding of the Aggie OF'ers, I have to imagine it would be awfully tough to hit the ball with that much drool pouring out of your mouth.
Chest, they've gotta be pretty bad since the thread predicting the finishing run of their boys over on the maroon's board ALL considered today's game a big ol' fat "L". When they won't even beat their chests a little bit about taking down Big Daddy, the morale is at a low point.
Dang Little Lusson watches the 3rd strike to let 'em up for air. Still holding onto that slender 4-run margin to B6.
Actually a bit fearful of venturing over to the maroon's board. After the Friday Debacle, the football and basketball boys flooded over to the baseball board and were throwing Shopner (sp?) under the equipment bus with a couple of the baseball boys who had been talking to each other for the non-Texas games coming to the kid's defense.
Well, Mr. Etier just decided to make a break for it from 2nd to 3rd and Mr. Shopner missed the gun from catch and the ball went the opposite direction of Etier as your Horns go up 5-Zip as we stretch in 7.
The Texas pitching staff is showing that from 1-3 it has no holes in the starting rotation. Every pitcher this weekend has pitched into the 7th. Depending on how Workman finishes up today and through 6 for him, all three starters threw shut outs in the innings they pitched. but for Chance having only his second bad outing of the year (not helped by a leadoff error in the ninth Friday) the staff has been execptional in every game.
I dont recall if Workman has a complete game this year. Since the Friday night disaster in Lubbock the pitching staff is riding one monster of a roll. Lets see if Workman stays in for 6 more outs.
