All of a sudden

When I originally started this thread, it wasn't intended to portray UT's recent recruiting efforts as 2012, end-of-the-world bad...this is a very good class if no one else comes aboard, as pointed out earlier.

However, perception is often reality in recruiting, and right now, the perception is that UT can't seem to land the late-choosing super blues. This isn't about being bored because most of the class is in the bag before Memorial Day. As a fan, I wouldn't wish for Mack to change his early recruiting practices a bit.

I would just like to see one or, hopefully two more blue chips verbal to Texas. If, as some prognosticate, we wind up with Jeffcoat and Hicks, this will be a great class, no matter what happens with Seastrunk, White and the rest. I'd like to see one momentum-changing commitment in the next few weeks, but kinda doubt it'll happen right now.

Even if we don't sign anyone else, this is already a great class. Most schools would die for the recruits we have on board. But I unserstand that most fans want a USC type class loaded with 5-stars every year. We are very spoiled here.

Remember when OU was joking about our no-name quarterback recruit, Colt McCoy?

I don't think it is that people want those classes loaded with 5 stars every year, but when was the last time Mack got a class "loaded" with 5 stars. I do believe peteywood has taken the coach feb title in recent years.

Not that I am complaining. I can still remember not being able to get the top players in the state to even look at us seriously.
