Alamo Bowl (not the CHEEZIT)

It wasn't...Miami dominated us from the opening kickoff to the final gun. Stan Thomas one of our O-Lineman, made a remark about them that week and they came out swinging. Fueled by a remark the "Hurricanes played a physical brand of football that also resulted in an astonishing 202 yards worth of penalties." Probably the second worse ballgame I've ever been to. The worst was the "Rout 66" back in '97 at home.
They actually intimidated Texas before the game even started. Remember a skirmish at midfield that looked to me like it scared the crap out of the Horns. Horns never showed up after that.

Did they ever!! I had forgotten about the pre-game fight. They put Stan Thomas on his backside almost every play in the first half.

Then our return guy got hammered on KO. Was that Chris Samuels? Can't remember who was it. The coldest I've ever been in a football game I think. Brutal...

My philosophy is simple. Someone punches you in the mouth you break their fuckin' jaw.

USC has opted out of bowl play....don't get me started, but...anyway...

Projections starting to come in for Texas in Alamo vs Colorado as a few other would-be Pac12 opponents also have opted out. Losing USC makes AlanonBowl even more likely to want Texas...though if Iowa St drops this could change.

Did the Cali Gov put USC in time out?

Corporate sponsorships, yet I doubt seriously the majority will cover expenses.

Bigger question is will they require schools to buy $3+ million in tickets when only 20% can attend.

It's actually a very fun setting for a game - you can stay at the riverwalk, eat and drink then just stroll over for the game, then stumble back to your hotel. But I wonder how enticing it will be to many as Texas was just there last year.

This may be my only excitement over Christmas. My trip to Hawaii is cancelled of course.

Can you imagine the crowd at Chris Madrid's at 5 that afternoon. I made need to phone and order in tomorrow.

Besides, my 11 year old grandson thinks it is his God given right to eat a Macho with cheese anytime he's near Bexar County.
