Alamo Bowl Game Thread: UT v UW

Going to be a four of more touchdown loss. Embarrassing way to set the tone for 2023. Sark can recruit but can he coach as a “head coach” at a top level. We will see but I have serious doubts.
Players gotta make plays too. Guys making penalties, dropped passes, can't get 4th down stops. That's not all on Sark. At some point players gotta make plays.

Washington head coach is 10 - 2 going into tonight.

Sark spent 5 years there as head coach, best record was 8-4.

House cleaning is in order, things aren't going to improve

This may be an unpopular opinion but if Xavier doesn’t want to be here then I say let him leave. He seems to be a distraction and more focused on the cars, chains and everything else besides football. Not a culture guy and I wouldn’t care not one bit if he leaves.

Did some of you think Texas actually had a good chance tonight?

It is refreshing, really. It will likely be an offseason without unrealistic expectations coming off a meaningless Bowl win.
There is never a meaningless win. That is why trophy's are named after people like Lombardi.

That Worthy drop may change the whole narrative about him. It was certainly the play of the game so far.

Take all the drops, long pass misreads (there have been many) and the fumble, and you have to wonder if he’s truly a net positive or net negative for this team. A threat? Sure. But wow, not the clutch player we had expected. And that drop really hurt his QB and it may have deflated the D…

second time I've seen the linebackers looking around, talking to another player and not ready when the ball was snapped and this last time had he been ready he would have stopped them on 3rd down and maybe 5 yards to go.

Big12 gonna go 1 for 8 this bowl season, with only the Cactus fu@%ers getting a dub, and only because they drew lane-boy who can't win a significant game to save his life. What a joke of a football conference. At least we get to see the over-rated and arrogant froggies get stomped on NYE.

You would think their offense would be getting worn out by now … what with moving down the field so many times and all that ball possession time.

Huskies grinding clock like a good team does. Those X drops are huge and changed the game significantly in terms of momentum and game strategery. 12 play drive. 14 play drive. Up by 17 now.

Totally different game if just one of those catches are made. But we’ve seen this all season. My forehead is bleeding from banging it against the wall.

Another year we start highly rated and finish out of the top 25. I can't even get mad about it anymore, I expect and accept it these days.
