Air Force

It is inexplicable to me how poor we are as a staff at throwing strikes especially when we have to. That is not on the pitching coach imo. This is college ball u are supposed to know how to throw strikes by now. This has been going on for 2+ years now across 3 pitching coaches. Its gotta be something else but i sure dont know what.

Lummus appeared to be laboring a little but I wasn’t expecting him to get pulled.

double steal

My video must be behind.

pierce is responsible for recruiting them though, pierce is responsible for the product on the field.

I coached a kid in select ball, and he would drive us nuts. We started calling him “full count” cause it didn’t matter if he started out 3-0 or 0-2, he was going full count, and a lot of times he would end up walking them if they didn’t swing.

He goes to college and his team makes it to the super regionals, bases loaded, when he comes in, still did the same exact thing. EXACT.

He lost the lead and they lost the game walking in runners.

Some of the heat throwers (like LBJ) improved a lot in control when they dialed down their fastball by 2-3 mph. They're not always trying to rip a hole in the catcher's glove.

He'll win, but he wants to put some drama into it.

Kid had great stuff, just needed to throw strikes, I swear it was mental, like he WANTED to make it dramatic and pull it out but didn’t a lot of times.

Dee Kennedy up

2-2 count

And AF brings in another pitcher. They're talking on the mound about how slummy the Driscoll Hotel is compared to their Air Force barracks.

After many foul balls, Dee Kennedy finally strikes out.

2 runners left stranded.

4-2 AF

on to the 7th.
