Aggy

#aggyFactThursday

aggy has a rich history of bringing in coaches that perform better at other schools:

3 National Championships have been won at other schools by coaches before arriving at aggy

8 have been won at other schools by coaches after departing aggy

I’m sure Old Army aggs count those as NCs. They must consider the time at collie station the reason those were won at other schools.

I have a family who we're pretty close friends with who are NOT aggy. Somehow their son decided to enroll in the cult which to my surprise they never voiced disappointment in that decision. Anyway, the son posted pics on social media outside the tackle box yesterday in shorts and a pretty tight white t-shirt with "JIMBOS JIMBROS" stenciled on it in maroon. My jaw literally dropped. I'd post a pic if it were not my friend's son, but damn the jokes write themselves with aggy.

Serious questions:

A) Do I assume the parents saw that and have had the conversation with him about how weird that is?

B) Do I somehow softly bring it up to them because we are friends. We are pretty good friends but they can be sensitive about things, especially the dad.

I'm telling you that was really weird and if he keeps doing it that boy is going to get an aggy reputation. But he's going there so maybe that's what he wants.

Nah Vol
Don't bring anything up. They know but are hoping he will grow out of it.
This is very sad for them

But freakin hilarious for the rest of the normal world
Jimbos Jimbros?:lmao:

Now if he wore a shirt proclaiming "Jimbo Fisher - Lamar Killer", at least I could see the logic.

But he had to go all gay on us. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Congrats to aggy on their "big win" over Lamar

Before we knock A&M from a school standpoint, they do one thing right. My 1st 2 went to UT as did I. But my 3rd was national merit finalist and A&M offered full tuition where UT offered zilch. Easy decision to go to aggs. He had a great time there, but only went to a handful of football games. He still likes Texas as much as he does aggy. Got a great job at TI right out of college so it all worked out really well for him and saved me 40K. UT only gives scholarships if you are poor. They're losing some of the best kids but they get enough so they really don't care. He felt like he got a good education there and graduated highest honors in EE. He can work anywhere he wants to so I'm not bashing aggy from a school standpoint. Lots of the students don't buy into the football cult there anymore.

Several years ago, I was dating a women and the son of a friend (or friend to one of her kids all of whom were college age) came over and proudly announced he was going to fish camp at aggy that weekend. I already had a few drinks (not that it would have mattered if I hadn't) and I just told him that at least I got to meet him while he was still normal. Let's just say I didn't stay over that night. My niece went to Texas and is marrying an aggy (seems to be a 2%'er, but I haven't seen him with a group of aggy so I have my doubts). I told my brother also who went to UT that he has failed as a parent (he didn't respond). I also told him that if the minister asks if there are any objections, I may have to stand up and say "But he's an aggy". I don't think I will drink before the wedding, it might not go so well.

Warn her that if they procreate they are going to bring Tech babies into the world.
That will probably make it into the reception video. I may buy some jimbo jimbro t-shirts for the groomsman since I think they are all aggy. I may try to get the photographer to get the groomsman to squeeze to feel pain with the team. That may be a bridge too far though.

Objective comment: this year they're actually a fairly good team other than their mediocre or worse QB. OL play is spotty but not terrible. WRs and RBs are good enough when they're not dropping balls. DL is good. LBs are good. Secondary is serviceable. A lot better than most of their fan base deserves.

We'd beat them by around 14 points.

Post-Lamar aggy is feeling it

They sure showed it against Clemson, or have the aggy revisionist sports history guys now turned that into a win? The only way they could stop CU's offense was to fake the cramps or some injury. Naw, their dog don't hunt.

Here's some items that tend to destroy the aggy myth that only UT has gays. Looks like they have their share, too, and their organized. You might send them to the kid to help him "find himself" (not really):
