I do not believe aggy could convince Franklin to leave Happy Valley for Swine City, err, I mean collie station. franklin is not stupid.

If I remember, Penn State was kind of dream job for Franklin, so I can't imagine him leaving. Even if it wasn't, how is that not a lateral move at best? He's got a chance to legitimately win a league and play for a championship at State. That's not happening in BCS.

Regardless, Sumlin's not getting fired this year. He's probably going to win nine games this year because the SEC is horrible. Auburn is the only team he might lose to, and I think they get them at home. I'd be pretty surprised if they lose to Florida.

His options: contending with Meatcheicken and tOSU with State Penn or Alabama and LSU with aggy. A smart coach would stay put and be the King of football in Pennsylvania.

i remember people saying things about Mack being Mr 10 Wins, but can't win the big one without Vince. i think that's the way it is. a great coach gets a team into the Top 5. special players gets the championship.

R.C was Mr. 9-2. I think that's what you want, then hope the right players become special.

Friendly reminder: I rambled on and on and on about this in December of 2013 and I was told that “just anyone” could come in here and win more than Mack Brown.
 
6-6 methinks. Would be a great story if we finished at 8-4 and aggies at 6-6. Would be a switch of preseason expectations
