Aggies Heisman level talent will win Big 12, 2008

My personal opinions:

Updating, 21st century recruiting continues to farther by-pass the Aggies and Sherman; we are still recruiting back in the 1990's and last century!

How bad is it? As of today, A&M is up to 8 commits (including the kicker, for the 80+%), with only 1 four star and no five star football players!

Poor recruiting takes two forms:

!. not signing Big 12 NFL level talent

2. not signing players for particular need positions

And right now Sherman and his staff of recruiters (?) have excelled at both in the Feb 08 class and now in the 09 class. We need speed on defense, damn it!

How many seasons does poor recruiting by a coach hurt A&M? Well RC was fired in 2002.

The next year in 2003, the players he recruited for five classes and coached for up to four prior years lost 77-0 and had walkon linebackers starting.

Some of these RC recruited and coached players were still taking up valuable scholarships in 2004, in 2005, in 2006, and still in 2007. This is why our NFL draft choices dropped to almost zero for these years.

If the NCAA thinks taking 2 scholarships a year away from ou is strong punishment, think what punishment RC and now Sherman are doing by taking away whole recruiting classs for multiple years?

And with $Bill's blessing? Long live the 2 and 3 star leftovers we proudly sign and tout!

Now, just as we get rid of the last of RC's players in 2007, Sherman comes in 2007 and it starts all over.

And even though A&M had actually committed 13 four star players in the last class, and with A&M in the top two of another half dozen four and five star players, Sherman still blew it by not holding the class together only signing 7 of them in Feb 2008.

While as usual in every year this decade, UT signed 12 and ou signed 15 four and five star players.

And Kines said he need speed in 2008; We had plenty of speed in 2008 before it decommitted.

Well A&M could probably have used some of the speedy 4 star players that decommited to UT, ou, etc. ; unsigned players like especially the 3 big fast linebackers, the 3 big fast defensive backs and several others for the next four to five (FOUR to FIVE) years.

Don't whine about defensive speed, when that speed decided recruiting had by-passed Sherman in the last century, and just decommitted to places like UT, ou, osu, etc.

Now like RC, Sherman's recruiting will also doom A&M football starting in 2009, in 2010, in 2011, in 2012 and in 2013. Sherman's Feb 2009 class will be red shirt seniors in 2013!

Boy, do we suck! As a coach, Sherman was ranked 8th out of 12 in the Big 12, and 46th out of the 66 BCS coaches by national publications. The publicastions said that other Big 12 coaches had ear to ear smiles at the thought of playing a Sherman coached A&M.

And still, if (?) Sherman's coaching isn't proven as bad as his recruiting, we still have the four classes of top level BIG 12 NFL talent to be champs this year in 2008, before it's deluted for 2009 and beyond.

I hate when fast food places get your order wrong. It kinda defeats the purpose of going to a fast food place.
