Aggies Heisman level talent will win Big 12, 2008

My personal opinions:

This years Aggie seniors and juniors, as fish and sophs, led the 2006 Aggie team to within one field goal against ou, of playing in the Big 12 championship for a BCS bowl.

Now they're returning as mature juniors and seniors, and backed up at each and every position by talented RS fish and RS soph classes!

Everything is in place, the schedule is favorable, every other Big 12 team lost an average of 17 seniors with many of them being starters, and this will be A&M's year in 2008!

If only Mike Sherman doesn't coach college football head to head, as badly as he recruits college football head to head*, the proven experienced Heisman level talent is there to win it all in 2008!

*(Mike Sherman has lost each every head to head recruiting battle for this year's class, where we had made multiple double digit common offers, with UT, lsu, ou, and tulsa university!

Also for last years class, A&M actually committed 13 four star athletes with several more about to commit, but Mike and Tim held and committed only 7 of them on the Feb 08 signing day!

You see, recruiting by-passed Mike Sherman in the last decade! )

Please don't tell any Aggies about the last couple of paragraphs, because some blogs only allow "sweet nothings" to be in their daily posts about their former and present Ag coaches, and the truth might shock them!

A&M rebuilding and winnng in 2006, and champs in 2008!

Since it's Cinco de Mayo I'm gonna get me some Flore's for lunch. Probably chicken verde enchiladas.

Ghost,

A few years ago, I ate at a place called Jorge's (sp?) in Austin. Really liked it a lot. Is it still around?

Hook'em!

This is a great post. Thanks for the information.

I am leaving Houston RIGHT NOW and driving to a casino in Louisiana so I can bet on the ags to win not only the Big XII, but the MNC.

Haven't eaten @ a Jorge's but Flore's is very good & convenient (5 minutes from my office). Wish I could've washed lunch down w/ a Negra Modello, though

My wife cooked this fish last week that had zero taste. I'm trying to get a Friday night pass to Whataburger (for me only), but she's not buying it.

I appreciate the effort in the original post, and I see posts like it (particularly on TexAgs) but there's more to success or failure than statistics or % of upper or lower classmen on a team (you know, much like the way big forearms don't necessarily make a good football player).

bill byrne is mean - he should have never made fran resign. fran could have bought home a nasionael cahmpaionship.

My personal opinions:

BlueAg09, $Bill is just a very inexperienced incompetent executive whose resume reveals that he had absolutely zero previous experience in hiring a college head football coach and his 9 man staff.

$Bill made two gross inexcusable rookie mistakes;
!. He got absolutely no inputs from competent people on head coaches, then took a chance and hired the coach on his own, and hired the wrong man.

A nice man with absolutely no college head coaching experience, especially in critical areas of recruiting four and five star players, or game day coaching, or hiring a competent recruiting staff.

A man who recruiting by-passed in the last decade while he was completely away from the collage scene.

2. Any experienced executive evalutes a newly hired manager and makes sure he gets strong competent support in his weak areas. In Mike's case before he was hired, the most obvious weakness was inexperience in recruiting four and five star athletes.

And $Bill in his inexperienced incompetent fog didn't perform this evaluation, and didn't follow up to get him 9 assistants strong in recruiting four and five star players.

Two rookie mistakes by $Bill that should cost him his job in 2008 and has already cost A&M two recruiting classes, two big steps backward!

As for Fran, yes your right his firing cost us an MNC in the next five years. In the last two years Fran won a decade high 9 games in one season, and A&M had a decade high 13 four star football players already committed last year with another half dozen four and five star players having A&M in their top two.

By comparison, A&M's decade average has been signing 6 four and five star players, UT and ou are at 15.

The handicap of the last of RC's recruits finished in the 2007 season, and this years squad, without that handicap for the first time in five years, will win the Big 12!

The only thing Fran didn't improve every year at A&M is the football knowledge of the football challenged 80+%. These are not like the numbers made up by some of the 80+% members of socialist anti-american organizations. BlueAg, please keep this confidential and please don't shock them with these A&M football truths?

So $Bill took A&M a third step backwards for which he will lose not only his job in 2008, but Mikes as well!

A&M a rebuilding and a winning season in 2006, and champs in 2008!

I'm stuck in Oklahoma today and one of my personal rules to live by is never eat mexican food north of the Red River. However, in honor of Cinco de Mayo I waived the rule.

Mamacita's was the place to be for Cinco De Mayo...the light green salsa just hit the spot, and so did the Corona Light. Anybody hear about the Hispanic procrastinator who celebrates Seis De Mayo? He's aggy.

I traveled through North Carolina today and had one of those chopped pork (pulled pork) sandwiches they call BBQ. It was pretty good, but a sliced Texas brisket sandwich kicks its *** every single time.

When I was a kid, I always put mustard on my corn-on-the-cob.
That's some good eat'n....I mean, was.
