YellaDawgDem, there's a huge difference between standing all night in Pasadena and having aggy infiltrators stand in front of you all night at DKR-Memorial. We "all" did it at a huge bowl game, two of which were for national championships. For aggy on T-day, different deal.
If my team on the field (a) KNOWS when I am standing, (b) KNOWS that I am standing because I am for them and against the enemy and (c) CARES whether I'm standing, I want them to know that I DO stand on critical 3rd downs (both ways), to cheer sacks and turnovers, my team's scores, etc. I really don't think players check to see whether I am standing and are motivated or demotivated to play harder/faster/better on any given play.
There are whole sections at DKR-Memorial where fans hardly sit at all, at every game. Wanna stand? Move to one of them. And if you're a Baylor/aggy/Tech, etc. student, you're no less a fan if you sit at DKR-Memorial. You will not be given demerits or have to appear before the Why Did You Sit Down During A Game panel. If you're a 20-something grad, someone should have told you that your diploma is also a You May Now Sit Down At Sporting Events pass.
