i saw your display of tradition during the game in sect 103 row 1. i saw the security peiple take you and your buddy out to the concession area. i saw you return and continue your tradition. i saw the ederly gentlement come a talk to you like a red headed step child, and you continued your aggie tradition. i also saw the people "sitting" directily behind you that could not see while you were upholding aggie tradition. my only question is if you had a tradtion of smoking and went to someone's house that did not smoke, would you whithout asking if they cared, or would you continue your tradtion?

I, like millions of Texans, are embarassed that the retards
at that place are actually a part of this great state. It's
like having a pus-filled pimple in the middle of your nose.

I would have started tossing out bonfire jokes until they got so ******* pissed they couldn't take it anymore.

All the aggy had to do was point at the score board at any point in the second half. Their "traditions" are just as weird to me as to you but they had scoreboard in this game and you sound like bitter grapes.

That being said 103 is a great section and no one should sell their ticket to aggy. Take the hit.

aggy should be proud that a dirty fisting/nut grabber was allowed to play. I stood and cheered when he was injured

I sit in 103, did not see this incident. But we had aggies standing in front of us also. They sat down after continous battering from other people. I assisted by pleading that I could not stand long due to my disability, slight exageration but I needed something to tell them. After a while, they sat down the most of the game, They were not happy campers. I do not understand why they would behave in such a fashion at an away game, Maybe they just do it here in Austin, or are they jerks everywhere they go.

Wow, I actually have to agree with the ag on this one. I know it's annoying, but seriously it's a football game, not the ballet. I'm so sick of the season ticket holders whining and not being into the game. And spare me any comments about where your money goes, because I buy tickets from foundation members for EVERY SINGLE GAME because they've got "something better to do". Give 'em up already if you're too old for the football atmosphere.

Hell, why sit down at all? Stand up during the timeouts, quarter breaks & halftime, to show your support for the redshirt official, the band, the commercials on Godzillatron and the pom squad, moving one section to the right. Why put seats in the stadium? Jerruh put in a standing section at Jerruh World. How 'bout an ag section where there ARE no seats? I pay a pile of money every year for a SEAT in which to sit, and I don't want to be staring into yo' ugly butt all night. Sit. Down.

I've never played college football, so I don't know this. Can GG or Sam Acho tell whether I'm sitting down or standing up in Section 103?

One more thing: who in DKR-Memorial Stadium gives a rat's rear about aggy traditions?

Until this year Aggies had a tradition of keeping non essential people off the grass at Kyle field. Does this mean it is ok to walk across the sacred grass now, because they get to stand up at our games in our stadium? I guess so but I would not do it any more than I would walk across the grass at the MSC, another of their traditions.

There is no reason to stand up at a football game. That is why there are chairs. If one stands up, it blocks the view of those behind them. As for you who think that those of us who do not stand up are not good fans, I would point out that some of us have been going to the games since before you were born and are too old to stand up all the time.

Besides, standing up doesn't do the team a bit of good; they don't stare into the stands anyway.

I should have said there is no reason to remain standing. I stand up and cheer every time there is a 3 and out, for example. But standing the whole game is Aggie. And blocking the view of those who don''t want to or can't is rude.

While I am with the majority on this board that just having Ag around in general is beyond tedious, I do recall standing for many hours in January 2005 and 2006 in Pasadena. In 2005 I took my boots off when we got back to the SUV, but couldnt get them back on when we were going to get something to eat. Hence we ended up eating at a chinese food bodega near the hotel. In fact I was eating cold egg rolls on the way to Burbank airport the next morning at 6am. Good times.........
