According to Orangebloods we've lost another?

I always thought that Mack made a mistake in taking Apo.

Good luck to the kid but I would wager that in 5 years everyone will be OK with this turn of events.

For the record, my belief is that Mack should have put a full court press for Skyline's Mike Davis. He's twice the WR that Apo is, and would have assisted in the recruitment of Corey Nelson.

Is this confirmed? And is he just doing his mission work? Or is he going somewhere else?

i hope this doesn't have anything to do with Jake Heap verballing to BYU.

Anyways, come on Darius White, door is open even wider.

The door has been open for Reed and for Cobbs. I think losing Apo will increase the staff's focus on landing another top receiver in addition to Darius White.

Sounds like we were just the safety school for Apo and Dixon.

it's not speculation. cobbs has basically said..and i'm paraphrasing.. i think i've written off texas too soon. he then proceeded to call the staff, and our staff basically told him ... we thought you'd lost interest.

now both sides have interest, and he's supposedly coming down. we'll see, but getting cobbs ease the sting of losing apo, and would soften the blow if we were to lose white.

I would imagine that his faith played a factor, but the fact that we have other wr commits (if you count Terrell) and that we are still recruiting others (White, Cobbs, etc.) played an even bigger factor. He'll probably get more immediate playing time at BYU than at the 40.

Good luck to Apo at byu. Now let's go get the two WR's with more speed and ability. D.W. 1 and 2, we want you guys badly.

All things, according to plan.

The fact that the two decommits have left for Baylor and BYU says a lot. Those aren't normally top destinations for players who want to compete with the best.

These 2 kids changed schools for 2 completely different reasons. Apo obviously made a faith based decision.

Dixon was a bigger loss. Very high rated safety and safety is a position we need to nail down this year or next. I think he just took a look at the fact that the top 5 safeties on the team right now are sophs and that playing time was going to be tough the 1st few years. Look at Earl Thomas being moved to the slot position as an indicator that it is going to be tough to crack the 2 deep at that position right now.

We still have Jones, Terrell, and Harris. We need to get Darius White though. That kid is a playmaker.

As much as I hate to lose good people, they will be replaced by very good players who want to be here. I am not worried at all. We are already loaded for 2010. If we pick up one or two 5 star players then it will be icing on the cake.
