Abilene Christian game

Anybody have any ideas for who the new coach will be
A peanut could do a better job. But some of this has to be on the players too. 0 2nd chance points. When that happens. your team didn't come to play. 22 turnovers with a guard heavy lineup means your team wasn't mentally there. It's on both of them. Tell em all to find their own way home. All of them. Just burn the whole thing to the ground. Winning the conference means nothing now. Nothing.

Texas players lost that game but Shaka is done! I need him to be gone by the morning. That was just embarrassing. The best team he has ever had at Texas and still can't win an ncaa tournament game to ACU AT THAT!

I am so tired of UT being losers. Horns down disrespected by all. I hope Sark brings a toughness and we get at least one major sport back to winning and stopping all the Horns down crap.

If he had any integrity he'd resign. If I sucked that bad at my job I'd find a different line of work. Shaka's a smart guy. Figure out what you're good at and go do that. But a coach he is not.

This is so predictable. Is anyone really surprised? I’m not. With Shaka, this was a 50/50 proposition going in.

And I’m so tired of the experts, like Fran Fraschilla who I want to like, always singing the praises of Smart. Come on guys, tell the freakin truth.

Are you saying I should brush up my CV or something...?

Texas is now the laughing stock of college basketball. Will anybody take this team seriously after this game? I doubt it. Embarassed the whole Big 12 Conference. What a Joke.

This is almost all on coaching. The players have poor development and fundamentally play sloppy undisciplined basketball. Athletic as anyone but have never been taught the art of the game. Shaka is the anti-Popovich.

Beaten by a team with substantially less talent but way more heart. This has become a recurring theme.
^^*Disagree. ACC is better coached. Check how they positioned to out rebound and get second chance points. Also they had scouted our team and knew how our guards have a tendency to over dribble and make poor passes leading to turnovers. ACC was in position, anticipating our guards moves all night.

That is all due to coaching. SS was clearly out coached. And a small, far less talented team was able to squeak by a win.
Terrible night for UT athletics.

Honestly, who took this team — with Shaka coaching — seriously “before” the game? I didn’t. Perhaps just Cedric Golden, who predicted a Final Four appearance.

We’ve watched Shaka and his teams at Texas for years. What happened tonight is not a surprise.

He needs to get into motivation speaking because nothing motivates you more than getting fired and his announcement should be coming soon. I think it's best I go to sleep because I'm trying to not be mad but the more I think of that embarrassing loss the more angry I get.

Well, CDC will have another serious program head coach decision to make on his young watch. Second one about 90 days from the last decision.

Nope.

I'm a loyal Longhorn and a Shaka loyalist. One bad game. We won the conference tournament! Big 12 Champions! Something Barnes never, ever did. He'll be back next year!

If it's possible to coach a full court press, throwing bodies at every moment with a bunch of big heart average Joe's beating a borderline top 10 team, then we got out coached. Simple as that.

Come on guys. Clearly Chop has adopted the persona of uber sunshine pumping Shaka apologist. At this point he's just trolling.

He could be back. That doesn't mean he should be.

This roster was the perfect roster for a tournament run. They had experienced guards. A PG who supposedly could run the show. Athletic front court.

Next year they won't be near as good. This was the high point at least for another 3-4 years. Not good enough.
