Aaron Green

Every recruit in America thinks that they are so talented that they will be the star, so when they look at our running game they think "that won't happen when I get there, because I'm better than so and so."

And, honestly, they should think that. Our backs our not that good. They hardly ever make someone miss, and they aren't good at breaking tackles. I know a lot more goes into being a good running back, but if you can't do one of those two things, then you're average.

The Link

Note he has a brother at Nebraska. I have seen Green play 3 games this year. Runs like Tre Newton except much quicker, more explosive, excellent view of the field, super cutback ability. Eric Metcalf type.

There has been virtually no chance of Green coming to UT for a long time, if ever. He's been Nebraska's to lose, and they didn't blow it by losing to us. UT hasn't put the full court press on Green in a while either, so his decision to head to Lincoln is not a shocker.

I think you need to tap the brake a little bit if losing Green (We never really led for him.) makes you think the wheels are coming off of Mack's recruiting machine. None of the players who HAVE committed to UT appear ready to back out of their commitments, no matter how this season has gone.

As an aside, I have an idea that Mack is as whizzed off as he seemed last week after the Iowa State debacle, and just maybe Davis' seat is getting a little warm, along with that of a couple of other coaches. I'm pretty sure one of those coaches is NOT Major, nor should it be. He's no failure because Green committed to Herbie, and if the offense doesn't pick up in the last few games, Major's role in the offense NEXT year might pick up in the absence of other coaches.

Just my two cents, for what it's worth...
