It's a little after 730pm here. March 1st, 2004.
After this I will check email, and after I check email I will write email. I will write the people in my life and tell them how much I love them, and how much I miss them. I will tell them these things because I mean these things. In a few hours I might even call my mother, and I will stammer into the phone - a familiar voice from a world away - just to tell her that I'm alright. That I'm doing fine. I will not tell her that this moment - this early morning familiar voice from a world away - would not be possible if it weren't for those that she most fears and despises.
After I call my mother, I will take a ride on the elevator. I will push the "up" button. I will walk into an opulent bar, and I will order a drink, and as I sip that drink I will quitely toast those that my mother fears and despises the most. I will toast them on the top floor, in an opulent bar, in a country that long ago was conquored by those that I toast. I hafta smile about that.
Not one hour of one day passes when I do not remember, but today not one minute of one hour will pass. And after it is all said and done - after the email, the phone calls, the toasts, and the drinking, I will come back to this room, and in this room I will pray for you. I will pray for you because purgatory is a *****, and pergatory is a ***** because I have to beleive in something.
