I misread your post about TLR. I thought you claimed to have graded on to TLR in 1995. It is no longer grade on and is write on.

Can you read the Open Mind link and tell me whether Tamino is right or wrong? This claim that the warming "paused" in 1997 has a right answer. What is it?

Paso, you have lost your arrogance contest with VYfan and I know that is upsetting. As for Tamino (Grant Foster), his post only says what all of us have said many times. It really adds precious little to the discussion. We all grant that if you take a longer time period, there has been warming in terms of a trend. So my question still stands. If we had 5 more years of what we have had the last 15 years, would it STILL not be a pause? How many more years of what we have had the past 10 years would it take before you acknowledged a pause?

this thread really did become hilarious. Sometimes being dogmatic and loud is just a thin veil for insecurity an uncertainty. I have seen that in my own life historically. Sometimes the things I get the most worked up about are the things about which I have certain misgivings or doubts.

we all saw that coming a week ago. any big storm, any flood, any drought, any snowstorm, it will be blamed on global warming by somebody. i actually had a guy on Facebook tell me that "real scientists never" make such claims. he said i was just reading the media. i then gave him links to 4 or 5 prominent scientists who said "this is what Global Warming/Climate Change looks like." it was a huffington post piece and had multiple quotes from scientists. he has been totally silent since that exchange.
