This will piss you off. It's called the Additional Child Tax Credit. We the Tax payers gave $4.2 billion in 2010 and $7.4 billion in 2011 to illegal aliens. One family claimed 20 dependents in their trailer and was given $30K. It turned out that some of their dependents were still living in Mexico. Although that is fraud and doesn't fall under the loophole, it shows how easy it is for them to get it. But the immigrants only have to get a tax payer ID# and you don't have to be a citizen.

Here is the kicker. Congress and Senator (R)Sessions has remodeled and introduced it to the Senate just this past May and was blocked and denied a vote by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Oilcan Harry Reid wants to make sure that all the illegals vote democrat in the next election.
 
Y'all are using the wrong label. They are no longer illegal aliens. They should now be called undocumented Democrats.

And giving them cash in addition to all the other benefits they get while living here illegally makes my blood boil.

what pizzes me off is that most of the people who whine the most about the illegals are republicans and it is republican business men who hire them because they work cheap, can't complain, etc.

If our chickensh government would bust some of these guys and send them to the pen for a few months then all their fellow hirers would get rid of theirs.

Instead we spend billions on border patrolmen, fences, trucks, detention centers, jailers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, clerks, translators, bailiffs, and a raft of others drawing government salaries, government benes, and eventually government pensions (unfunded of course) to act like we are doing something.


THROW THE EMPLOYERS IN PRISON, JUST A FEW PERCENT OF THEM, AND THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARS.

And then maybe the construction companies (none of whom are run by New Deal/Great Society democrats) will get around to hiring some black people.

But that wont happen; the dems want the prospective voters and the republicans' funders want the cheap pliable labor.

You and I get to pay for all this bs and the laborers get to live like cockroaches.
 
Blame the illegals for everything must seems to be the GOP strategy. Scare tactics is what they are, yet they cant even show 1 example of a illegal voting in a election.

I have defended a bunch of the smugglers but I have yet to see one single employer get arrested. Go to your local federal courthouse and see how many people get arraigned for hiring illegal aliens. None.

The only ones I have even heard of were those schmucks running the slaughterhouse in the midwest a few years ago.

ANother problem: we are passing out investment visas to wealthy mexicans. Come here, invest a little money and we will let you live here.

The mexican rich are among the most dishonest people on earth. Look what they have done to their own country. So now our idiot government invites them to come here to live.

Question: how many of the rich mexicans coming here on investment visas made their money honestly? Stopped laughing yet? It is the official policy of "our" government to let these people in.

Whining about how the illegals are ripping off the system with the cooperation of the bureaucrats is a waste of tears. The problem is that the government is allowing this problem to exist to begin with. By allowing american business to hire them

Found this link which says the change to this tax credit was put in place in 2010 but will expire in Dec 2012. I am against refundable tax credits. To me it isn't about spending more money to go out and stop this fraud and abuse. Just change the law and get rid of refundable tax credits. Now sure it is still bad if large # of people are abusing the system and paying no taxes but at least we won't be sending them a check.

Apparently this started in 2001 under the EGTRRA. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act of 2009 has made the situation worse by lowering limits on income and increasing the amt of the credit. This expires in 2013 and will revert back to the 2001 criteria. However they could look at reversing that as well and going back to the even more strict child tax credit that was in place previously. But by doing nothing and just allowing the temporary extensions to expire things will get drastically better.

"Internal documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee show that the Obama administration has been “cooking the books” in order to reach their “record” number of deported illegal immigrants, chairman Rep. Lamar Smith said Friday.

Based on the internal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents, the number of removals are actually down, the opposite of what the administration has been claiming.

According to the committee’s review, in 2011 officials at the Department of Homeland Security began including the number of individuals removed through the Alien Transfer Exit Program (ATEP) in its annual removal numbers. ATEP is a program which moves apprehended illegal immigrants to another point along the border.

The committee chair claims that counting those individuals as removals is misleading because there are no repercussions for illegal immigrants who are deported through the program, and they can simply try to re-enter.

“It is dishonest to count illegal immigrants apprehended by the Border Patrol along the border as ICE removals,” Smith explained in a statement. “And these ‘removals’ from the Border Patrol program do not subject the illegal immigrant to any penalties or bars for returning to the U.S. This means a single illegal immigrant can show up at the border and be removed numerous times in a single year — and counted each time as a removal.”

You may choose to not believe Lamar Smith and the House Committe findings . At the least the questions raised by the commitee should be answered by the BO admin.

How many have been deported by Who is a rabbit trail. They could ship out twice the number and it is still small potatos.

Self deportation is the only way the problem gets solved and the only reason any of them will leave is if they don't have jobs. ANd the only way to accomplish that is to make people quit hiring them.

Go to a town hall meeting and ask your idiot congressman if the best way to solve the immigration problem would not be just pitching a few employers in prison to make an example to the rest. You will enjoy the dodge he uses.

As far as I know not a single business that had raids on illegals and lost them had any trouble hiring citizens.
 
Of course people break laws everyday.
I have to laugh at people who try to equate speedingetc with people who are illegal and taking from taxpayers.

Other perhaps than drug dealers i can't think of citizens who break laws which have such far reaching costs to taxpayers.

I know about a dozen of them and they are well meaning but their solutions to the problems they do address are about ten years late to be of much use. Or twenty years late.

If you could point me to a tea person who has something meaningful to say about immigration reform I will direct my attention there and apologize. I am not a knee jerk tea party hater; I agree wholeheartedly with their concerns.

The only solution on the horizon, short of jailing the employers, which also is not going to happen, is that the Mexican birth rate is dropping dramatically (so they wont have as much labor to export) and their economy is booming (they have replaced Brazil as the fastest expanding economy in the Americas)
 
I would love to comment on this topic, but not only is huisache hitting it out of the park, he is hitting a pinch-hit, inside-the-park, game-winning Grand Slam in Game 7 of the World Series on this issue. He is nailing it. Accordingly, I really have nothing to say that wouldn't be redundant.

Essentially, both parties are unpatriotic scum on this issue and to the same degree. The only difference is the motivation for their scuminess.
 
Corporations wanting cheap labor is not the Companies fault. It is not their job to determine citizenship or legality. They pay taxes for the Local, State and Federal governments to enforce.

I have written over and over what the issue is, your vision of the movies and the mexicans working in sweat shops are just not happening anymore, NAFTA took care of about 90% of that. You can look across the border in El Paso for that proof.

The majority of the illegals now come over here specifically to take advantage of our ****** up tax system and welfare entitlements.

They either do that or a large number of them work the farms.

How is a company supposed to determine who is illegal or not? All the worker has to do is show a SS card and drivers license, which some states let illegals get drivers licenses. Not to mention the stolen identity crisis in this country is in a large part contributable to the illegal racket that is in this country.

It takes anywhere from 6 months to 18 months for our Federal government to let the employer now that the person's ID is fake,stolen or deceased. If the company even thinks about questioning the fake, stolen or deceased id up front, do you know what happens to them? They get a phone call, letter and a visit from LILAC and the ACLU.

At one time you could blame the big bad corporation, not anymore. Big corporations don't want those workers, you know why, a thing called OSHA. Once they start working for you they fake an injury and all of a sudden a company is paying the federal government for disability for this worker, forever!

The notion that it is large corporations faults is an aged and old argument that had more merit back in the day but less and less every day.

We need to bring home all the soldiers in Japan, Germany, Iraq and wherever else in the world they are stationed and put them on the border. Call it Fort Rio Grande, from San Diego to Brownsville. Shut down the border and then start arresting people at work with Fake ID's traffic violations and ship them back to Mexico or whever they are from.

They say there are only 10 million illegal aliens in this country, I would say that number is 15-20 million at least. The growth in the Southwest is not from the northerners migrating south, it is from south of the border migrating north.
