I tried to post an update last night, but I guess it got lost in cyberspace. The whole thread is gone. Not sure what I did.
Tina's mom, my daughter's best friend and teammate for the last 7-8 years passed away yesterday afternoon. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer to start with, spread to the brain, had a clear scan at Chcristmas, only to have it show up spread to every organ by the end of January.
She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, after enjoying the last few weeks. There is only sadness now because there is no more time left. Joy because she is free from pain and in the arms of a loving God now.
Good bye Diane, dear friend. When I think of you, I will always think of you with your burnt orange, glittery cowboy hat, Longhorn necklaces, and "Grandstand Bob" in the stands with the rest of us parents.
Prayers for the family that they continue to have strength, feel the miracle that is God's love, and see the miracle that was her life.
