A Longhorn Mom (UPDATE 2/12)

Although I do not post on here much, I read this board almost daily. The requests on this board are always in the back of my mind, brought to the front at quiet times. This request is for a very dear friend and teammate of my daughter, and a good friend of mine - her mom.
Not long ago, Tina's mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. They began the conventional treatments. It was also discovered that it had spread to the brain, but after rounds of treatments, scans and tests right before Christmas showed that it was gone. Clear. Nothing.

A few weeks ago, she was experiencing pain and swelling in her neck and doctors decided to remove her lymph glands. This had to wait a bit though, since she was not well enough for surgery, doctors saying she was malnourished.

This past week, more tests have shown that the cancer has spread to every major organ and they have given her less than a month of quality time. Diane (Tina's mom) has decided to forgo any further treatment for now and enjoy the quality time she has.

Please keep Tina, Diane and their whole family as well as Tina's teammates in your thoughts and prayers. A miracle, strength, a cure, anything and everything. The power of prayer is amazing and coupled with the power of Hornfans - well - who knows what can happen. Thanks all

UPDATE:
Tina's mom passed away peacefully this afternoon. Family was all around her and had been with her the last 2 weeks. The sadness is over the realization there is no more time left. Joy, though, because she is out of pain, was surrounded by family, and is now in the arms of a loving God. Prayers for strength and thankfulness for everything Diane gave us.

I will forever remember her all decked out in her orange glittery cowboy hat, Longhorn necklaces, and the "stands version" of Bob. Goodbye Diane! Goodbye friend.

Sorry to hear this. Continued prayers.
I don't blame her for not seeking anymore treatments and enjoying the time she has.
Treaments can give you little time yet make that time not so great.
