If I did the math correctly , the V teams have a 37.5 each percent of winning the whole shooting match. Texas and each of the others have a .0625 chance. That is of course figuring each game as a "coin toss". That seems to be the way this post season.
Texas up to 12.5 and no worse than fourth. It would have really upset me if they had of went home as the 6trh best team. Tonight the TV people seemed to be convinced that there couldn't be a home run.
I think that in the super-regional the TV people had just explained that no one could hit a homer in DFF.
Then Payton came up and they explained that he was a good hitter but NOT a home run hitter. Then BLAM.
I was happy to see the first one hit in the CWS to come from a Texas player.
