4 seed it is...

Well some indignation is due, but not too damned much. Texas does seem to get shifted low as possible, but honestly, look at Barnes' record in March. Only once have we out-performed our seed (TJ's freshman year). And in the committee's defense, some times it is necessary to shift a team up or down one line to avoid conference foes meeting prior to the regional final round, so maybe Texas was a 3 that got moved. Arizona is a good match-up for Texas. They have one good tweener inside. But Texas has to depose of a scrappy Oakland to get there. The games being in Tulsa does help a tad as well. Could be worse there (Anaheim).

When I saw the Florida seed I thought they had made a very laughable mistake. No way did I believe that Florida would be a number 2 seed. I also did not think we would drop below a number 3. So much for tough schedule.

Well, if we beat the teams we play in the tourney we will prove the seeding was incorrect. If we deserved a higher seed then let the team show it with good play.

Maybe they will win their bracket. We have a chance to earn respect now. Let the team do it.

I hope they can.

FTW...prove em wrong horns! Oh, and I didn't realize the big 10 got 7 teams in...what a freaking joke. Msu in with 13 or 14 losses is absolutely laughable. The got in based on their name and past reputation as a bball school.

I plan on getting into the specific teams later that had no business in front of us, and there are a few definites. Simply put, we walked into KC ranked 10 in country, won two games convincingly, lost to the #2 ranked team (and a 1 seed) in their own back yard (by less than both Fla and NC), and come out ranked between 13-16. So we dropped 3-6 spots after playing in our championship game. WOW!!! If you are looking at the complete body of work of the season and comparing teams, there is absolutely no logical way Texas deserved less than a 3 seed. None.

The committee does not look at media/coaches poll ratings. Although I agree we got screwed, the guys just need to decide to do something about it. The West region is fairly weak and very winnable.

We should be a 3 seed no question. How could Purdue get a 3, UF a 2, UNC a 2, MSU even get in. We still have to eventually win the conference but other than that we got hosed.

I felt we quit being flakey and proved we were mostly back on track winning at Baylor and easily winning 2 tourney games. Losing to a #1 seed in their own backyard wasn't that much of a letdown when you consider the task. Wanna talk neurotic...Purdue? How about NC who lucked out twice to even get to championship game and got destroyed. Or the other teams who fell ealry in conference tourney. We did nothing in our tourney to set us back from when we entered. Yet we did regress in the seeding. No doubt. If they din't look at coaches poll, they surely don't seem to look at complete body of work and performance either.
