Keefer can portray a person suffering the effects of bio-agent poisoning with anyone. His bug-eyed look is Emmy worthy. I would like to see Sean Penn try that.

Tony has a high pain threshhold. Shot just minutes before (not last week), he is still able to carry a guy down some stairs and load him into an ambulance. But, dude, walking away from Jack with his little black bag was cold.

Could you imagine being an FBI agent involved in a firefight against a trained mercenary armed with a bio-agent in a populated city, and your new boss turns out to be Lindsey Lohan at 35 who was boinking your old boss who was just killed?

I think this was the best episode of 24 I've ever seen. Of course, I am old, so trying to remember every episode from every season is beyond me--but I can't think of a better single episode at the moment.

While I'm on the subject of 24, I bet Voight gets nominated for an Emmy. He was damn good.

This isn't a spoiler, this is just a hunch:

Jack Bauer is going to ******* kill Tony Almeida this season and it's going to be very brutal.

He needs to. There's no way to bring Tony back to the good side after this (except for the fact that we're talking about "24").

This is the best season since season 1, and this is getting juicy. There haven't been twists and turns and f'd up scenarios like this since that first season. Jack Bauer is a bad mofo, and rest assured Tony is going to pay a price courtesy of Jack.
If Lohan is A) alive at 35 and B) is that smokin hot, i'll take a piece of that action.

Penn, in his typical method over-acting, would have ingested a non-toxic poison, cut his mouth to spit up blood and tried to pry one of his eyes out for effect, all while screaming at the top of his lings.

Bauer is first going to torture & kill Voight next week and in the last episode of the season... he finds the bio device and in the final scene he violently kills Tony.

Maybe the canister is really an antidote, and Tony is just perfecting it to help Jack. The medicine in Jack's little bag would have rendered the antidote useless, but Tony just can't say anything yet, because it would interfere with capturing the "real and final bad guy behind all of this."

And what if Tony knows something Jack doesn't ?

Like that FBI guy that he killed was actually in on the plot and Tony had to get rid of him.

I like the idea that Tony may be a good guy in the end. I don't know how we'd get past the whole "let's lure the FBI guys into this abandoned building and blow it up" part, though.

Much as we hate to admit it, Tony has gone over to the dark side. The only sliver of hope I have for him is that he will sacrifice himself in the final act of an all-but-forgotten conscience to end the season.

Tony's behavior has been pretty erratic.

Started out, as background, that he had become a criminal if not traitor, and was wanted for "multiple felonies" or some such.

Then it turns out he was secretly working with Bill and Chloe as part of an altruistic Mod Squad.

Then he risks his life and freedom to work with Jack, causing the death of a guy who had helped him out with his recent troubles.

Then he carries the torch for Jack, the FBI and the entire country as he single-handedly destroys those bio-laden missiles on which the entire govt had given up and had caused the Pres to vitiate policy to negotiate directly with terrorists.

Now, after all of that, it is (apparently) back to being a bad guy as he induced someone else to steal a sample of the bio-weapon (and kill a fed) so he he can sell it to some super-rich bad guys. And he killed an FBI dude with his own hands. All for solely pecuniary reasons.

And all within the last 20 hours or so.

This storyline is too retarded to actually be as it currently appears. The only way to tie it together so that it does make sense is for this latest incident to be a Tony-plan to nab those super-rich bad guys. Having the bio-weapon to barter is the only way he can get to them. Otherwise they will skate, as super-rich bad guys always do.

[Hopefully he does, and hopefully they turn out to be George Soros, Jeanine Garfola and Sean Penn. How great would that be?]

Now that, that would make my day and the whole series for me

spoiler....

Well, it is clear that there were much bigger forces at work. Voight went renegade. his actions were not part of the plan and i guess Tony was working undercover, so to speak, to try and stop whatever scenario they were brewing up (ie attacking the whitehouse, destroying airliners and launching missiles). They tried to take care of him (voight) a la frankie pentangeli in godfather 2.

So, now the question is who was voight, tony, and the hot blonde working for?

i cant remember, was baur's dad killed in that earlier season? maybe he is back.

Phillip Bauer was last seen nursing a gun shot wound to the chest, laying on the ground just seconds before 2 F-18's conducted an airstrike on his oil rig miles off the coast which destroyed the rig and any vehicles that were present. Even if he did survive the airstrike, there's no way he would have survived the inevitable bleeding and still be able to swim all the way to shore. That doesn't give the writers the same kind of wiggle room they had to explain that Tony's injection in season 5 was a "controlled incapacitation" by Henderson and that he "missed the vein/artery/whatever they said." Besides, Cromwell hasn't been signed to reprise his role (or any role) in 24. Phillip Bauer is dead.

Dude, it's TV -- they can do whatever they want. I am more convinced by the fact that Cromwell isn't signed than by the fact he was last seen bleeding on an oil rig that was destroyed.
If Bobby Ewing can return after a year-long dream sequence, so can Papa Bauer, if they chose to do so.

Whatever happened to th female assasin who almost got Palmer? Was she killed?

Wasnt she hot? And lesbian?

Last question, if you are hot and female and an assasin, dont you have to be lesbian?

You're talking about Mandy, and she's still alive. But she's just some freelance assassin. She's not involved.

Yesterday's a dream
I face the mornin'
Cryin' on a breeze
The pain is callin', oh Mandy

Well, you came and you gave without takin'
But I sent you away, oh Mandy
Well, you kissed me and stopped me from shakin'
And I need you today, oh Mandy
