Had to start a new thread. 8th graders in the pipe line now and visiting our campus!! And Mooooo pointed out she’s a Freshman this year!

Thanks for creating this thread. But, I'm guessing she has started her freshman season in high school and is out of junior high school! :D
 
So, somebody help me connect the dots regarding Vukosa. What is a high school freshman from New York doing visiting Texas unofficially so early in the recruiting process? Was there some sort of event nearby this weekend like with the John Lucas skills camp during Labor Day weekend? Or, does she just like Texas that much this early that her family foot the bill for an unofficial visit?

Vukosa visited Texas unofficially in 2022. Several posts about her on page 1 of this thread.

I saw Elena Lovato include Vukosa in her IG stories a couple of days ago. Not anything new as it's pretty frequent.

Posters on UConn board a few months were discussing why Vuksoa was "liking" so many social media posts about Texas, and including Texas a lot in her own social media.

Obviously, geography not on our side with her. But, I'd be surprised if we don't get an official visit from her.
 
I’m officially moving onto 2026 recruiting. Now with Horns #1, getting ready to receive the #1 2025 recruit, already having the #5 in 2025…..I’m thinking Vukosa is the perfect fit in 2026. With Abi a possibility, the team could be stout.

Little info out there. She is a point guard and was a 5 star recruit who averaged 27 points per game in senior year. No stats on her at Nebraska so perhaps injured? If Texas was recruiting her, it was a bad omen regarding Chavez. There’s not enough info out there to speculate. I’ll just wait for more info to show up

I'm not doubting your sources but this commitment seems a little odd and out of the blue.

Hamlin is a 2025 PG who has been committed to Nebraska since November 2024. On IG, she isn't "following/followed by" any of our players or coaches. Other than a March 8th post on Facebook from a person named Mhizz Emanuel, I haven't found any other sources for her commitment to Texas. Mhizz Emanuel linked a story from "Zoesoccereco" (a premier league soccer site) that announced her commitment to Texas.

I'm not convinced this story is accurate until I see a celebratory commitment announcement from Olivia or on IG from our coaching staff.

Although Hamlin might be a great addition, her commitment would likely indicate we are not in the running for Chavez.
 
Something weird going on. I do see article from weird site that she committed to Texas. And, another article that says she comitted to South Carolina.

I only see an "Olivia Hamilton" for class of 2025; she signed with Nebraska.

Not sure there is a 2026 player with same name.
 
Folks... be careful about what you're seeing on social media. I'm seeing a lot of posts about different recruiting commitments, college players awards, etc... It's all a bunch of false clickbait. If it comes from social media, Facebook for example, always look at the profile who posted it, NOT the page it's posted on. I've seen a lot of false stuff posted by profiles in different countries. Again, be careful.. no telling what the motive behind all this disinformation might be.

Yea….no person on ESPNW in top 100 recruits for 2026. So it’s the 2025 Utah player. I’m so starved for info on Chavez, I took the bait on this Hamlin.
