An exerp from CJ Vogel's article today.

2026 North Shore DB Chace Calicut

"Today was nice, it was cool to meet with the coaches. It really feels like home. (Texas) really leads my recruitment right now. A commitment would probably be coming in July.

The visit was Calicut's second time on campus. He visited for the UTSA game in the fall.

Mark Bowman is the No. 1 TE ...

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei 5-star TE Mark Bowman officially reclassifying to 2026 means the Longhorns have their top TE target in the class. And the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder will eventually choose between Texas and Georgia according to a locked in source.

He will be visiting Georgia before making a decision, and that decision should come tomorrow which happens to be the last day of spring semester registration for Texas.

On OL target John Turntine III of North Crowley, Hamilton at OTF said any talk of him not being a priority tacke prospect for Texas is 100% false.

With the staff looking good for Felix Ojo and Turntine III opting to go to Tennessee last weekend, somehow chatter started that maybe Turntine III is no longer a major target or he's viewed as a guard.

CB target Jermaine Bishop, Jr. of Willis has locked in his Texas official visit for June 20th, per OTF.

They feel the Horns lead right now.

OTF wrote that Coach Jackson "had a long talk" with five-star WR Tristen Keys of Hattiesburg, MS late last week.

They say he has legit interest in Texas, and should be making an unofficial visit to Austin in the spring.

He is friends with QB KJ Lacey and they've played 7-on-7 together, plus he chats with QB Dia Bell "frequently."
