A few notes on DT Brandon Brown from OTF...

- he has been in touch with Coach Baker since returning home from LSU
- he is scheduled to speak with Sark tonight

For those who have never had the pleasure of meeting Marshall HC, he is a class act with an unusual background for Texas HS.

Grew up on Chicago's South side, went to Illinois on a football scholarship, and eventually worked his way to Texas. Runs a clean program with respect and dignity. Classic example was when Marshall played PNG in the playoffs (only game the Indians have lost at Baytown's Stallworth Stadium, aka "The Reservation West"), Williams knew that Roschon Johnson was a special player with a bright future ahead of him on The Forty Acres (he committed early). Just like the Orange Bowl victory over Joe Namath & Alabama, Coach Williams never let his defense hit Roschon below the waist.

Not a fan of the Lamborghini play. I’m sure it impresses most of the kids. Not sure about the parents. It smacks of “look at the money we have here.”
Exactly.

I was an impressionable teenager before, but some of these guys at 17 or 18 years old may have already matured out of being impressed by an expensive display of flashy cars. But…………….…Presumably our recruiters have a good feel for how this sort of thing goes over with today’s Yoots, so I’d leave it to them.

If I was running the show, I’d probably be playing music these Yoots thought was dorky. I’d also show them big screen videos of the hardest ever hits made by Texas Longhorns on the football field—targeting penalty notwithstanding. But the female hostesses under my regime would be smokin’ hot. :fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:

A modest proposal: I’m for hostess choice. Besides the traditional, cheerleader-type hostesses, we should also avail the noncheerleader-type hostesses equal opportunity. Then in preparation for life on campus, and as an educational experience all around, the recruits pick.
