2025 and beyond schedule possibilities

I have felt their fandom lacked class and sportsmanship over the years we played them in the SWC and my personal experience with their supporters was not something I would like to see be rewarded.
Legit. South Carolina and Arky battle it out to see who can earn the title "Tech of the SEC".

Arkie has sucked balls since they ran away in the 90s.

Which is why it's inconceivable that we've only beaten them twice out of six tries since then!

That is truly a program that somehow gets the players to care about ancient SWC history and play above their level to beat Texas.

True story, I have told it before. Had a trip to Little Rock many years ago. Wore a Texas shirt, of course, in the hotel. Hotel, mind you, that would accommodate out of state and not necessarily swine fans. An elderly, sweet looking woman in the lobby, smiles at me, then with venom in her voice, asks, "Why are you wearing that ugly shirt?"

Yep, they hate Texas.

This is accurate. Their hate has been festering for decades. Went to Hogville.net just now and there is a post about the 2003 UT game on the front page and they have a horns-down emoji.

I believe it. I went to the '04 game in Fayetteville. Fayettenam is the correct term for a reason. Walking towards the stadium, the most memorable moments were

a) a child of 8 to 10 years of age coming up to my my father-in-law and yelling for him merely wearing orange; and
b) Pig fans placing a state of Texas flag on the street as a cop going about 5 MPH approached. He turned on his lights and sirens to run it over then turned them off after.

As an in person witness to the most recent debacle in Fayettenam, I can factually affirm this statement. The fanbase was out for blood and the stadium was almost unbearable to be in. I think the hillbillies pass on football lore in their campsites like they did in the 1700's.

I want Texas to play OU, aggy, and Arkansas annually.
I want OU to play Texas, Mizzou, and whoever won the SEC last season annually.
I want aggy to play Texas, Arkansas, and LSU annually.

I don't care how the others are filled in.
I hate playing at Arkansas. Seems a certain loss.

I was born in the 80s and it's never been a rivalry to me. But they still think it is, and their players still think it is.

There are a few differences in today's Hogs and those of the Fayettenam era:

1) Student body is over 50% Texans

2) Invasion of the chain restaurants. There were times when we couldn't buy gasoline or be served in a restaurant up there. Did any Texas fan ever get to eat at Herman's?

3) Johnny Tyson & the Waltons have built a new airport outside of Bentonville with nonstops to LA, SFO, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, DC, Chicago, NYC rather than DC3s to Little Rock.

4) The athletic department is and has been run by John Tyson

5) Most important factor is compare their coaching staffs - Coach Broyles had guys named Jim Mackenzie, Chuck Fairbanks, Barry Switzer, Bill Michael, Jerry Pettibone on that staff.

6) That staff pretty much ruled northeast Texas & the northern Metroplex in recruiting. James Street's best friend was captain of that 69 team, which was loaded with Texas kids.

The Hogs will never get that back, so let those old enough live in the past in Blue Mountain, Y City, Waldron, Mena, Dequeen, et al.
