And I'm sorry... but Matharu and her scoring prowess need to be in the game at tipoff.ESPN re-ranks this season's transfers with Matharu #4.
Women's college basketball transfer rankings:
Agreed, and not just for her 3pt shooting, but she has a nice Tony Parker like floater driving to the basket. I don't think she gets enough opportunity to display all her talents in the limited time she gets. And I'm sorry... but Matharu and her scoring prowess need to be in the game at tipoff.
I miss Celeste most whenever I see an opposing G/W with a bit of length and quickness go off. She would've been an ideal matchup against Gray last night and has the athleticism to guard her without fouling. Also, hearkening back to the Tennessee game, outplayed and stymied Jordan Horston when they were matched up their freshman season. Horston was 1/8 with 3 points and 3 turnovers compared to 28 points and 15 boards this season.Agreed, and not just for her 3pt shooting, but she has a nice Tony Parker like floater driving to the basket. Also, Celeste on that list. Losing her has really hurt the offense too.
Really thought she would after last season. Could be for a lot of reasons based on all that's happened at MSU recently.Didn't we think she would last year? Looking for better academics, or to play on a competitive team?
Careful what you ask for!Vic bring her home!!
Bingo! Perfect fit and perfect situation.Strictly from a roster perspective, Rickea would fit in at Texas next season as the starting small forward; she would fill an immediate need no doubt, even if it is just going to be for one season.
Like you said.....Schaefer KNOWS..... I trust him and his judgment..... Regardless of where Rickea goes, she’s a delight to watch, extremely talented, and I wish her all the best....Horns will be extremely short of experience next year. Jackson for one year would be a tremendous bridge to allow the young wings to grow without the responsibility to carry the team. The good news is Schaefer knows the type player she is…..more what kind of character. Who really knows her demeanor and who really had the problems on the team. If she is the one trying to make her teammates accountable…..then good. If she is the one being selfish and other then that’s another story. I have no idea which way it is.
Even if she had transferred during Winter break, she would not have been immediately eligible to play the second half of the season (Spring semester) at her new school; since she played some games after the Spring semester classes had already started earlier this month, she would for sure not be eligible to play at the new school she enrolled in (like this week).I’m thinking tonight that it’s so late to be enrolling for spring semester that Jackson will sit out the spring and enroll at her new school in the summer or fall. Then play one year and then go WNBA or overseas. I was hoping she might join the good guys for the rest of the season…..then play 2022-23. Perhaps she is just going to give up this 1/2 season. Especially since she talks about her mental health. Perhaps she needs to step away for this semester.
