At this point why would we? We've racked up a lot of wins against bad teams and are 7-14 vs ranked teams. We're ranked 16th while RPI is 15th. I'm not sure we should be that high. Mike White has delivered very mediocre results mostly through questionable coaching not talent.
 
Definitely upset we aren’t hosting but I like our chances against our entire side of the bracket heading into the supers. May not be hosting but based on the team’s reaction they are upset about our seeding so we’ll come out very angry and ready. Dolcini will have to be ready because Mike White is going to ride her until the wheels fall off.

Actually, I like the West coast regional because one of the things our pitchers seem to not handle well is the heat. It got to Simpson on our own field, can you imagine if regionals were held in Austin next weekend when it's in the high 90s?

That said, I don't think we'll get out of Regionals. Yeah, I'm that fan.

Looked up our previous games against Washington last 5 seasons:

2018 faced Plain as a freshman in the Washington Regional Lost 2-1 She only gave up 2 hits.

In 2020 short season we beat Washington 8-6 Plain started pitched 1 inning 5 Runs 4 earned 2 hits and 4 walks. O'leary started, Day win in relief, Drama queen got the save.
 
I was charged $145 by the UT ticket office this morning. I think someone forgot to cancel the automatic charge for Regional tickets based on the assumption we would be awarded host of those games. I wrote the ticket office and copied CDC.

I got a reply an hour later apologizing and saying they would cancel the charge. It shows the assumption that we would sneak in as a regional host. I watched the selection show and I thought I saw happy reactions to the announcement when they showed the Seattle region. But someone else later said that they seemed upset? I don't recall.
 
I may have over looked weber st a bit. We beat them in 2018.

They have qualityish wins overTexas A&M, Utah, SDSU, and UNLV.

Good Pitcher Arissa Henderson with a 1.88 ERA
 


This article is horrible and pointless. Why is something from three years ago still being talked about. Elish has moved on and Texas definitely has. I feel bad for Iakopo that she has to keep discussing this. Sullivan is wrong for entertaining this nonsense and creating more drama that was forgotten about a year ago. We have bigger things to be worrying about at the moment not the past!!
