Max Johnson is in the portal. Any ideas on if he would be someone to look at if Ewers goes to Tech ? He had a decent sophomore season and bonus .. his brother is a highest ranked 2022 TE. I know how we like us some TE here on the 40 !

Back in the mid 60s, DKR started 6-7 HS QBs in a game at various position including OG.

Latest on QB Quinn Ewers from IT...

- they confirmed he will be in Austin on Saturday along with other '22 targets, which may include CB Denver Harris who will be in the area for a playoff game.

- they believe this recruitment has really picked up in Texas' favor because of the feedback that Ewers has received from the '22 class, his original classmates before he graduated early.

- after putting out feelers to several guys and doing his own research, Texas is faring well but A&M is also after those same prospects.

"Texas is oh so close to establishing momentum down the final stretch, but a little work remains. If Ewers selects Texas, as IT expects, the visit Saturday is the potential stick of dynamite to loosen a recruiting avalanche."

He has one official visit remaining, so he'll be asked to visit Miami this weekend.

I like this guy. A cerebral defender. Someone who doesnt play patty cake with a blocker while the ball carrier runs right by. A cerebral hustler with determination.

I feel like we must have some silents commits on the OL. We haven't seen the 2 star and 3 star offers like the last 6 years after we whiffed on all the decent players.

We've seen it at WR in the last 2 weeks, so assuming there's no silents at that position.

Not necessarily cooled. Staff just wasn't as high on him as the other names that have been mentioned. He isn't planning on signing until the Feb date so that would give the staff time to see what we hit or miss on. Also Sark plans on hitting the portal hard for OL.
