If Jimbo turns Aggie into Alabama West then it's game over for us for a decade or more. My scenario includes Sark being fired and UT having to break the bank with an insane Jimbo like contract for his replacement and then HIT ON IT.

The top 3 there would be a huge blow to Texas if they end up in colleyville.

Exactly who does Texas go after? There is only one coach out there worth that kind of money and we had our chance, but Little Billie Powers ****** that up. Everyone but Saban is a crap shoot. I don't know anyone with a fat checkbook willing to go with a crapshoot.
 
Brooks reminds me of another #1 in purple. Kid was a QB and went to A&M after we "took a flyer" on a QB from Houston named Vince Young.

FWIW, I detested Mack Brown's love fest with lardass RBs, the only ones of whom amounted to anything were moved to DL.
 
Doug Brooks would fit in well at the "Jack" position. He's both bigger and faster than the Jack position players we've put on the field this year. At 280 lbs, he's an exceptional big athlete. A coach like Patterson could take him and make him first team all-conference.

I don't know. Dabo? Meyer? Who are the coaches that have won before. Jimbo left FSU with a bit of a cloud and he's got them moving up the ladder now. Otherwise, you're right. It's a crapshoot.

You've been there. Is the atmosphere so ridiculously pressurized that only a heavy weight name can handle it? Did the monster Coach Royal built get so out of control that it took a gifted Mack Brown and no other to manage it all?

The rumor has been bouncing around for a several weeks. UT can't actively " recruit" him as he is at tOSU however Ewers can initiate contact.
Back in the late Spring , Murphy was tweeting out some UT love at Ewers.
Murphy knows we want 2 qb's in this class.
This one is going to be fun to watch.

That's FOUR of Sark's OL targets on campus at the same time.
