6’ 5” center, #1 JUCO ranked by a different scouting group - obviously not the one that had Kobe #1.WOW! Who is she?
I love Stevie Wonder!
Texas keeps bolstering its 2021 recruiting class with 6-5 center Femme Sikuzani | Hookem.comThe 2021 class is now officially over-signed.
Understood but, if I read the NCAA announcement correctly (that’s a big IF because I think they usually read like IKEA instructions), the scholarship max will only be increased to account for seniors this season who choose to return next year.Texas keeps bolstering its 2021 recruiting class with 6-5 center Femme Sikuzani | Hookem.com
It does say that we are over the limit for players. I don't know if he believes the maximum amount will boosted which it most likely will due to the virus but it won't last very long. I do expect one or two players to transfer. Not going to name any names but I do think some will due to lack of playing time. I also do believe this add could be a result of Collier leaving early for the draft which I believe is an 80% chance of her doing so.
This looks correct to me. However, I sure would like an explanation as to how Celeste Taylor (as an example) can be listed as a Sophomore on the 2020-2021 roster and Kobe/Femme be listed as Sophomores on the 2021-2022 roster. All three players played as Freshmen last year.

Does that mean Celeste will be a Sophomore again in 2021-2022?
Yes, racer, I understand what is listed, I just don't understand why it is listed that way.I had the same question and so I went to the texassports page:
Women’s Basketball adds Femme Sikuzani to signing class - University of Texas Athletics
and read their announcement about adding the two JUCOs. I wondered, how will they be listed?
They provide a table that's titled: 2021-22 Texas Women's Basketball Recruiting Class (as of Nov. 18, 2020)
So for the class that starts their first year in Fall 2021, they list Kobe/Femme as sophmores and Harmon/Hunter/Moore as freshmen. I decided to go with what they listed and not my personal guess.
She picked OregonPhilipina will be announcing her commitment tomorrow at 10 a.m. I'm not sure this one will be us which is probably why we got the center from Juco. Considering we are over the limit as it is I don't think we will be getting her.
That's closer to her home, so that makes sense. Oregon has a great program. Best wishes. She picked Oregon
For purposes of athletic eligibility, yes, that is how I read the information released. But it is up to each school to decided whether to extend financial aid for an extra year. Also, the flexibility around the 15 scholarship limit is only for next year.Yes, racer, I understand what is listed, I just don't understand why it is listed that way.
My question still stands, for anyone who can explain. Will Celeste be a Sophomore again next season?
She is a true sophomore this season (2020) Schools depending on $$$ will be allowed to add another year of eligibility for each athlete due to the pandemic. Consider this season a " redshirt" year. But a redshirt year in which they are allowed to play. lolYes, racer, I understand what is listed, I just don't understand why it is listed that way.

You may be on to something, cnb. I think we need to invent a new term to describe this "redshirt" year. How 'bout "playable redshirt" or "purported redshirt"? I hope they don't call it a "covid redshirt", although that probably describes it best. She is a true sophomore this season (2020) Schools depending on $$$ will be allowed to add another year of eligibility for each athlete due to the pandemic. I was hoping to use alliteration, but can't find a good word beginning with "r". "Recycled redshirt" doesn't quite do it for me.
