2020 Voting Stories and Updates

Same process for me, weird. Didn’t like the putting ballot into the scanner. Guess the actual vote machine couldn’t be connected for some reason. Regardless total process from arrival to departure was 1hr 21minutes. Line outside was just as long when I left shortly after 11am.

I also thought it was odd that you had to feed the paper into the machine you voted on, then take that paper and feed it into the other (vote counting) machine. It's probably part of trying to have a hard paper trail of each vote. If the election is thrown into litigation (a pretty good chance that will happen), I doubt they'd be able to count all the hard copy ballots in any event. Perhaps they could use the paper ballot sheets for spot checks to verify the accuracy of the vote counting machines.

The process at the polls is a concern but I worry more about Dems" finding " enough votes needed after the polls closed and they see what they need.
I also read that the actual tabulation of votes in Texas and other states is done by a company in Germany

Pertinent question: who owns this German vote-counting company? (or at least the major shareholders if widely held)

Of course, the poop would really hit the fan if it was a Russian vote-counting company that ran the machines...

It took me 20 minutes to vote this morning in Williamson County.

The 2 long pieces of paper were odd. This was my first time to vote in Wilco. I thought it was their system. Didn't know this was state wide.
