It appears Capri Davis took a medical leave from the team on October 23 2019, her Sophomore year. Which is somewhere about mid season for Volleyball? Don't think she was starting at the time?
I think he will redshirt williams but I still say parra gets the spot she is just on a different level than any freshman in the country. I guess it depends on how much capri davis develops but im glad she came because Texas was thin without her for 2020

Lol no even with parra, Texas was going to be very thin with pin hitters. Madison Williams might redshirt since she is coming off an ACL injury so capri davis adds to the depth that we desperately needed. So as of now pin hitters would be Logan eggleston, Skylar fields, melanie parra, capri davis and madison Williams(if she doesn't redshirt) I don't know nor do I want to speculate but I don't think capri davis will be given one of the scholarships but who knows but parra is not out of it because she still is in round rock attending high school
Well parra returned from Dominican republic back to Austin after mexico failed to qualify for the Olympics so I assume she is still committed. She is now playing AAU for roots volleyball an Austin based team so I think she will join in the fall. As for fleck this is who I really hope makes her way to Austin. She will drastically increase our defense and to have losia and Peterson as DS will help Texas alot. If everything works out between parra and fleck then Texas is a sight to see in the fall
I do believe libero is the problem. Peterson's biggest problem is her range. She cannot cover a lot of court as she is not quick enough to. If the ball is in her range then she is a great player but if its a little bit out her zone then it's a kill most of the time. Fleck has it all as alot of people have compared her to morgan hentz in terms of her speed and being able to cover a lot of court. I dont think setting was a problem last season it was just opponents being able to hit over jhenna since she is very small. In terms of her setting she is a great ball distributor and stats show that because Texas led the ncaa in hitting percentage throughout the enitre season. It will be interesting to see how everything plays out if fleck does decide to transfer. I believe she will take over the libero spot and losia will be DS. Cabello just might take over as well if her location is up to Texas standards.
I don't think she will pick Nebraska considering she has the best chance to start at Texas. Also she is very much a beach girl so I don't think she will enjoy her time there since it's always so cold but who knows what her criteria is? Hopefully Texas has everything she is looking for

More than likely she will be on the team this upcoming season. She recently started following texas volleyball as well as Jerrit Elliott. If she joins the team I expect her to start over Sydney. With the addition of her that really just turned Texas into probably the most dominant team. Our position that lacked the most will now be fulfilled
Until Melanie Parra is allowed to enroll at Texas, I don't think we're "dominant". Apparently, she is not attending classes first summer session; she is not listed in the UT student directory either.More than likely she will be on the team this upcoming season. Yes that is due to this covid 19 situation. Trust me she will be playing at Texas in 2020. Everything is still being worked out but it will get worked out
