I stopped by Buchanan HS in the Fresno (CA) area to see 2020 5-star running back, Kendall Milton.

I’ll post some thoughts on what I saw but I wanted to pass on a note on his recruitment. I spoke with Milton after practice and we talked about his interest in Texas. He talked about how impressed he’s been with the turnaround Herman has made. He watched the Red River Rivalry.

Milton said the coach he was closest with who used to be at USC is now in the NFL but said coach apparently recommended a current college running back as a coach Milton should seriously considering playing for.


That coach? Stan Drayton.​

BTW, I'm really hoping to see Herman up in North Texas a lot this year. 9 of the Top 15 players in Texas for 2020 are DFW guys (according to 247).

Of the remaining 6 players from the rest of the state, 2 are already committed elsewhere (aggy and ou).

We need to be effective in DFW this year and next.

This one school (St Louis Trinity Catholic) has players out the whazoo.
And it is not far from the airport.
With no in-state school with a great college program, it's smart to try and start a long-term relationship with them.

Not to jump the gun but we may be starting with Card, Parr and Lindbergh at some point. That's a good start. There's probably a few teams ahead of us but with Herman that doesn't bother me one bit. I got a feeling that we will be recruiting well very well on the offensive line Yea.:hammertime::mj:
