I went to Texas Wesleyan U.'s School of Law in Ft. Worth and graduated from there 24 years ago. Aggy bought the school a few years ago and damn near got the school un-accredited by the ABA for moving money from the law school to the main campus in B/CS. About 3 or 4 years back, aggy sent me a letter that they would send me a Texas A&M School of Law diploma to go with my TW School of Law JD degree. Needless to say I declined their offer, and if you're wondering the answer is NO! I no longer contribute to the law school and still list Texas Wesleyan on my CV as where I earned my JD. I went to a graduation ceremony a couple of years ago and the lack of professionalism and decorum was astounding. At the end they actually sang the aggy song and real ags in the audience even shouted "beat the hell outta t.u!" Talk about low rent, that was it. It was a sad day when they took over the school to say the least.

They bale hay growing up!
Well, I bet they drink a lot of milk and eat a lot of cheese. That state is like a giant health food store: fried cheese curds, sausage, beer, more cheese, more sausage, more beer.

I guess our leaner linemen recruits, like Karic, can bulk up on BBQ and chicken fried steaks. Good German sausage can be found in Texas (including at some BBQs), but we’re not Wisconsin in that department.

Been nearly forever since I posted here, but I read regularly. This got me to log in. I once looked at doing a law degree at night from Texas Wesleyan. I was so sad to see it get sold to aggy. I wouldn't go near the place now. I am a Methodist and so I have a soft spot in my heart for Texas Wesleyan too.

BevoJoe,

They called a friend of mine about getting the new diploma, but as I recall they wanted him to pay for it. He said, "I can change the name of the school". When told "yes", he responded, "Outstanding, put Harvard Law School on mine".

Aggies bitching that Texas has kept them from getting a law school in a state that has eight law schools, yet, the Aggies have prevented Tech from getting a Vet school in the largest agricultural and cattle producing state in the country. Tech's been trying for 70 years and couldn't even overcome Aggie resistance when we had a Tech grad as Governor.

Kind of happened to a several attorney friends of mine who attended the University of Puget Sound school of law when Seattle University bought them out but did not abuse them. UW law was the prestigious one like UT law and they did produce good attorneys who went to large firms. However I noticed the UPS Law guys were a little craftier and a little harder working, kind of like a junk yard dog at a kennel show - they were not the prettiest purebreds, but they always came home with a big piece of the steak if not the whole thing.

None of them traded their UPS diplomas for the SU ones.

Sand aggy got their vet school in June of 2018. I guess they found the right pocket to place a few shekels in.

They tried to buy my dad's law school before that. And the ******** did it in private. Once word leaked out, we raised holy hell, got some of the better known alumni involved, and it was over. Some of their plaintive pleas about how they did not want to become "retroactively aggy" were pretty memorable. But really the worst part was how they snuck around to get a deal done. Lurked in the dark. No one knew. I hate that. But aggy knew they had no choice but to try and do a dirty deal.

aggy reacts to the Demas news exactly like you might expect aggy to react

ps - although I do admit now to participating in various lobbying efforts to keep them from buying a law school
Dion...
You are going to have to create a new rating symbol for this stuff.
Nothing we have is sufficient. In fact...good luck...nothing we could get would be sufficient, either.

A little Bijan Robinson from the "4th and 5 Podcast" with Will Baizer & Joe Cook

He prefers Whataburger to In N Out

And that wraps up the interview
But if you insist on more ....
--His family had the best time in Austin
--He is looking forward to Austin culture but is not a 6th street type person.
-- Texas coaches played a big role in his choice. He liked how they connected to his family, who he is close to.
-- He did "silent commit" to tOSU. He said he was pressured by their coaches who told him he had to commit by a date certain. After committing, he kept questioning his choice when he felt like he liked Texas better. He said it was a hard phone call to make but says they took it professionally. He then immediately called Herman/Drayton with the news.
-- Talked the most to Logan Parr. Also talks to Hudson Card a lot.
-- Thinks his best attributes are explosiveness and vision. He thinks he needs to work most on ball security.
-- Compares himself to Saquon Barkley, Alvin Kamara
-- He will be playing in a game in El Paso on Sept 13 if anyone is close

More Demas -- One of the primary reasons, if not the only reason, Demas wanted to transfer Tomball was because he was already living with Hunter Dunn's family in Tomball. Kind of looks like aggy themself engineered or at least were heavily involved with this move from the outset.

The head coach at Tomball Kevin Flannigan is aggy. SO what it looks like is they were trying to insure no other colleges would have contact to the 5-star WR by way of the aggy head coach controlling all access to him. And the QB, Hunter Dunn wanted a better WR to make him look good so he could also get an athletic scholarship

The level of Aglet paranoia is palpable. I know Demas is talented, but until he gets his head screwed on straight and quits drinking the Kool-Aid, I hope he does not sign with Texas. He seems like he is intellectually capable but just a little emotionally insecure. Hopefully this will pass, the sooner the better for him.

Like St. Caden says, "This program ain't for everybody."

But wait, thats not all -- Demas also wanted to be closer to the Footwork King
And guess what --> The Footwork King's business is located on property owned by the Dunn family

More --

North Forest head coach Clifton Terrell Terrell stated under oath that he was notified by coaches at LSU, Ole Miss and Okie State that Rischad Whitfield, aka the FWK, was “shopping” Demas and Dunn as a “package” to prospective schools.

Demas committed to aggy last Sept while at North Forest

That seems to be their MO for doing things. TCU looked at taking Texas Wesleyan, but struggled with the money. At least when I have to produce a transcript, it comes from Texas Wesleyan and not from aggy.

He knows his craft very well and I can appreciate the good work TFK did with Shepard, but dang does he (TFK) walk on some thin ice when it comes to rules, compliance, "street agent" ethics, playing with these kids' futures, etc.

The study of what people project onto others (accusations, expected treatment, expectations) reveals that person (or groups) paradigm and lends insight to who they really are....may say more about them than you.
Example: guys always paranoid his gf going to cheat on him...his paradigm formed by his character - Better watch out girl! Your probably in trouble...He's a skeeza.
Someone always thinking you are attacking them - They probably view everything as some kind of them vs. others conflict due to their own nature and are pretty quick to be judgemental, resentful, attacking themselves.
Girl is the jealous type?? - You may have some reasons to be jealous of her past. Hope you're not the jealous type.
Aggy paranoia and accusatory nature - You know them fools up to no good.
There's a reason jimbo left a mess at fsu and a reason he checked in tied for #2 in coaches poll of dirty programs.
Check the clock: Its 12:45, OU still sucks, and aggy is not only delusional, but desperate. Desperate people do desperate things.

Joe, wasn't that South Texas Law?

Alford will be an EE.

Also, from a Q&A from IT's Eric Nahlin and Justin Wells (JW)

Q: Scipio mentioned that some highly rated targets that are already committed elsewhere are reaching out to the coaches. How hopeful can we be that this list includes Ransom and/or Ringo?

JW: (Lathan) Ransom, (Johnny) Wilson, and Jaxon Ninja Smith.
