2019 Recruiting - WBB

The interesting thing with Texas, South Carolina, and Tennessee is that if you look at their rosters they’re all very deep and to a certain degree young at the PG and wing positions. Also keep in mind that both Texas and Tennessee are also recruiting the same players at the PG position which also includes Endyia Rogers.

SC isn’t really young in the backcourt though. Harris, Cooper, Cliney, Cuevas-Moore, and Perry are all upperclassmen guards. So that leaves Bianca Jackson and Henderson as the underclassmen guards. Which explains why we’re after so many G/W in 2019. Texas and Tenn are loaded at the guard position and have very young players. Interested to see where these players go.

With Sedona basically sliding into the 2019 class to join Celeste due to redshirting, wonder how this class will be impacted?

Does Texas still take at least two more or limits it to one more to save at least one ship for that loaded 2020 class?

I have to think that no more that two more will be accepted to join Celeste as true frosh.

For the 2019 class, I would love to get Celeste, Endyia Rogers and Rickea Jackson (and/or Aijhah Blackwell). For 2020, my wish list is Deja Kelly, Sarah Andrews, Hannah Gusters, Angel Reese and one spot for a player tbd.

Cooper has three years of eligibility, correct? And Henderson is an incoming freshman?

Kinda hard to find anything about #thefifteen, but seems to be some type of all star game/clinic. I think it is being held in Baltimore.

The fifteen is a weekend of basketball drills along with strength and conditioning amongst elite players it is really taking off this year as their reach is now further than kids from the DMV area. Was originally just 15 girls but this year is 26 if I counted correctly. It’s very intriguing because you will get to see some of the countries best players go one on one as well as workout together.

For 2020 let's put DeYona Gaston on that list, too. :hookem:

Love seeing future Longhorns be able to connect with our alumni!
Thanks, Ariel, for making the time to do so! :hookem2:

That's the second dead period this summer, iirc. Wonder who is supposed to benefit from this? Coaches or recruits? Does it also apply to the men?

Not really sure who the intended beneficiaries are, but it does give the students and their families a brief chance to focus on the upcoming school year.

Glad these two had a chance to bond at The Fifteen. IMO, they will both have significant influence with the players we are recruiting for the 2020 class.

This is a loaded roster on both sides really wish I could be there. Must be exciting to play at the famous Rucker Park

wonder if the game will be on youtube or Instagram? Hopefully, @SLAM_HS will have clips on their site.
