2018 Roster

I was about to say... Chick Fil A biscuits are probably a distant 10th in terms of fast food biscuits behind every other chicken place with a drive-thru window.

Moved right around the corner from a Torchy's Taco in Houston, I probably gained about 5 lbs in one month eating there.

They are very much on par with the Mexican food I was getting down in San Antonio.

This sounds a little nit-picky, but I'm a little concerned at having a true freshman as our holder on kicks.

True Freshman Kicker and Punter. Don't see that every day.

I am glad tho that Cameron is listed first Kicker. Last year kicking was not impressive.

Is there a reason why we have a safety returning punts for us? For the combination of speed and hands, Brandon is not the first that comes to mind. I would think we would use him more on kick-offs and punts.

Agree.... I held my breath every time Rowland was kicking a PAT or FG last season. Bet the coaches were too!

Heard someone make the point that the last few years, our punt return selections have been... shall we say... conservative. Basically not a lot of guys you would expect to be playmakers, or people who have straight-line speed but not necessarily guys who could make the first guy miss. Even a guy like LJH who was pretty elusive, but isn't a guy that's going to house it from 50 yards out. Trying to think the last game-breaker we had back there, I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

Last year Hemphill-Mapps made some noise at PR.

However, I would rather have a steady handed, thick punt returned than the electric runner. Every now and then you may break a big return or even get a TD, but the possibility of a muff or fumble after the catch makes me conservative on punt returns. On kick return, go with your best runners.

LJ Humphrey seems like a good choice given his size. Not sure why BJ got the nod
