Guard Meighan Simmons of Steele HS in Cibolo sounds like a player Texas would be interested in. She doesn't list Texas among her favorites but maybe that will change by next fall.

She sounds like a great player; too bad she seems interested only in out-of-state schools. Unfortunately, she better forget about Tennessee as they only have (as of now) one scholarship to award for 2010, and Lauren Avant has already accepted it. Hopefully, that helps us with Odyssey Sims, who was last said to be considering Texas, Baylor, Tennessee, and Missouri.

The state of Texas has a lot of "bigs" in 2009, and a alot great guards for 2010; both are fortunate for us as those are our needs in the respective years.

Tiffany Moore and Kristen Grant visited Austin unofficially during our Mizzou football weekend; but, they also visited A&M a few weeks back. Another guard from Houston St. Agnes, Chelsea Bass, was also reported to have been visiting.

We lose Brittainey Raven, Erika Arriaran, and Carla Cortijo in 2010, so I'm sure our staff is already working on finding capable replacements.

another SA Express News on Steele's Simmons.

She's compared to three former Horns: Clarissa Davis, Tai Dillard; and Annissa Hastings who are three of the best to come out of SA. What you want to bet that Clarissa is on her for Rutgers?

How many players can a team have on scholarship? Tennesse has 12 players currently, loses Fuller (-1)after this year, and they have three players signed for 2009 (+3). However, if McMain chooses to graduate on time she would graduate next year (-1), bringing Tennessee to 13 players heading into 2010.
