And he hasn't even visited, yet

Great pickup. I think he is clearly coming in as a WrR and the fact he has played QB will be a plus in our offense and learning the routes. I am glad he choose the Real UT as well. Wish him the best of luck.

I am excited to here the news but a bit concerned about the commitment. Is this the last switch he makes or does he change his mind again before February. I know Cobbs has said time and time again that Texas is his dream school, I just hope he truly means it.

The guy is a ******* traitor, plain and simple. I hope he doesn't plan on returning home after college to visit the family or seek work. He has now given up all citizenship after such a blatant disrespect to the state.

F him.

ouengineer, you just did a spectacular job explaining why i chose not to consider an oklahoma company which could use my help.

i have no desire to live in a third-world environment.

It is a joke.....Understandable that most Texans might not get it since the joke is based on the common OKlahoma fallacy that we flip out when they take Texas players. Yeah it bugs us, but nowhere near as bad as when an OKie kid border jumps to us. I live in Tulsa, and listen to sports radio. It wont be pretty today.

OUE, no worries. Bullmarket assures us all the kid could not start for OU. So no big loss for the sooners.

Engineer, you might need a doctor to surgically remove your tongue from your cheek. Good response though to those Texans who issue jihad orders when someone down here commits to the paper clips.

I have read comparisons to Anquan Boldin.

Something like that would be most acceptable.

Seems like he could also project to defense as we seem to be getting even more athletic on that side of the ball. Scary thought.

I know what you mean

I have a GREAT idea, stay out of our state recruiting and we stay out of yours

Trillion $ health care bill - so what?
800 billion $ stimulous package? Yawn.
The falling U$D and the end of economic domination by the USA? Don't bother me - it will pass.

An Okie switches from one UT to another? Holy **** - news headlines. The freekin world is coming to an end.

Others have said it, but it's still worth repeating: it's a long way until february.

I'm pretty cynical when it comes to kids who like to play the game, and Cobbs has been all over the map. If he sticks, I'll be happy. If he doesn't, I won't be surprised.

^^^^

Someone said it would be big news in Tulsa, and I believe it. While a great pick-up for us and I am happy, it's hardly 5:00 news. Except in Oklahoma.

"Final thoughts
Ultimately, 40-yard dash times simply don't matter that much on the football field. The best tool for evaluation, then, is film. And Cobbs passes that test with flying colors -- he is clearly an exceptionally talented football player.

Because of that, he represents an excellent pick up for the Longhorns and though he may need to conintue working on his first-step explosiveness and avoid whatever program Mad Dog has had John Chiles on at Texas, there can be little doubt that Cobbs is an excellent addition to the 2010 Texas recruiting class and has a strong chance of being a big contributor on the field, whether he ends up on offense or defense. And, perhaps just as importantly, Texas fans finally have another commitment to help them feel better about the 2010 class, which now may be the best in the country. Rejoice, Longhorn recruitniks!"

OU ENG ;
YOU OKIEFENOKEES AMAZE ME.LOSE ONE MAN
TO UT IN SEVEN YEARS AND YOU ***** WHILE NOT
MENTIONING OU HAS HAD AT LEAST 300 TEXAS PLAYERS
DURING THAT TIME FRAME. IT DOES'NT MAKE SENSE FOR
FOR DeMARCO TO RETURN TO OKIE WHEN HE GRADUATES.
SO MANY OF YOU COME DOWN HERE FOR JOBS AND
CAREERS.OKIE IS NOT KNOWN AS A GROWTH STATE. SO
ACCEPT THE FACT IF TEXAS WERE NOT ON YOUR BORDER
YOUR TEAM WOULD BE ON THE LEVEL SOME WHERE
BETWEEN KANSAS AND IOWA STATE,AND YOU WOULD HAVE UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEMS.ACCEPT THESE FACTS
