198.5lbs to 180lbs by Sept 1

I realize that this is a "crash diet", so I'm hoping the advice being given is for that. But, seriously, some of y'all have no clue when it comes to diet, exercise, and lifting weights.

If you are trying to lose weight fast, the whole key is calories out>calories in. Does not matter at all how you accomplish this. If you eat 4 snickers a day and nothing else, you will drop weight. Looks like you have a good diet/exercise plan going

I agree w the diuretic for a few days prior to the weigh-in.

Also, don't forget about the ****. If you are close but not quite there two days before weigh-in drink 2 bottles of magnesium citrate and then stick w a clear liquid diet the last two days. Do not eat or drink anything the morning of the weigh-in. Empty your bladder (your bowels should already be empty!)

Note the above is not medical but rather financial advice!

You should definitely donate a couple pints of blood on the day of the weigh-in

Are you interested in losing fat or just weight? A drastically reduced calorie intake will cause you to lose both fat and lean body tissue (muscle) and it will slow your metabolism down so that it will be harder to keep it off. For purposes of this bet maybe the answer is just pounds off, but that is not a very healthy goal. It would be better to lose fat and keep the muscle which usually requires a slower process. Eat 5-6 meals per day, no more than 500 calories each. Each meal should consist of approximately 6 oz. of low fat meat or fish, and about a cup of a starchy vegetable such as brown rice, potatoes, green peas, beans, corn on the cob, the closer the way God made it, the better. You should also have some sort of green or yellow vegetable without limit. You will have to plan ahead to be able to have this food available and carry your lunches and mid-meals with you, usually. It's hard to eat healthy at most restaurants. If you can find someone who can measure your body fat accurately, that is a far better way of measuring your success than the scales.
