I spoke with a walkon kicker from last year's squad, and he assesed Russ as a punter, not a placekicker. We need a placekicker after Tucker leaves this year, and since Hunter Lawrence has used up his elgibility, this is a very good move.

Wow, one of those from the 40 looked like it went about ten yards past the end line.

I think its worth a scholarship to have someone on the team that won't allow a return unless he's kicking into a 20 mph wind. If that happens we just kick the line drive to the goal line and do what we normally do......pray.
