Vanderbilt at Texas

Vandy has good team and is well coached by Shea Ralph from the Geno Auriemma tree. They’re currently 6th in conference standings just behind Ole Miss and ahead of notable teams such as OU, Tennessee & Alabama.

Texas is tied for 2nd with LSU & Kentucky and need to take care of business as those two teams are still on the schedule along with South Carolina. These are four very important games and I’m hoping we are healthy (obviously no A-Mo yet).

First of a very important four-game stretch. We can't afford to come out sluggish in any of these, like we have been known to do in some of our recent games. We've got to come out punching from the get-go in every game.

It's unfathomable to me that the gals could be anything other than raring to go. However, I've been proven wrong before...often.

Texas is really going to have to shut down Pierre and Blakes to have a chance at winning this game. Vanderbilt had a terrible first half their last game; I'm sure they're prime to come back strong. On the other hand, I would sure like to see a dominating performance from the Longhorns, kinda like the Maryland game.

Pregame presser. Good stuff from Vic regarding the freshman again, and a really good piece with Jak at the end. Definitely worth listening in full.

I think it is very interesting that Coach Vic is having to challenge Justice at this stage of the game. I think if I were warming the bench that it would be self-evident that you have to improve your game to play. It's confusing to me that she has to be challenged. Doesn't sound good to me at all.

I have two tickets for the game tonight and won't be able to attend. If you would like to have them, please send me a private message.

Tonight's game could reveal a lot.

Been thinking that we're the only team that has to play SC twice. IF we were to beat SC, we would all be in a 4-way tie for 1st place. IF we were to lose a second time to SC, we would be in 4th place.:

1. SC
2. LSU & Kentucky
4. Texas

Man these announcers “Vanderbilt this Vanderbilt that Vanderbilt blah blah blah” all of Q1

Shay Holle with 10 points y’all!

Wow, 4 treys for Texas. What's up with that? Man, Blakes make our players look slow. They (Rori) know they're beat so they don't even try. Of course, Rori is an "old" senior. :p

Get the sense that Blakes wants to take the game over. Rori and well, no one esle can stay with her. Fortunately no other vandy players are stepping up.
Vic has only used 8 players to this point. Jac taken out early after a lazy pass was intercepted.
Keep pounding the ball inside.

Carlton gets mop-up duty again... barely. I guess that tells us all we need to know about how she responded after Vic practically begged her to step up. Very disappointing...

I don’t think anyone is ‘writing her off’ per se, I think we are all just very disappointed that the reason she is not playing is due to energy and effort. Our starting 4 is injured and we need our backup 4; the fact that she isn’t jumping at the opportunity to start is a major red flag.
