2020 Recruiting - Football

Hmm, after watching his film highlights and knowing that they were from his sophomore season I think this is a great pickup for us. Good athlete, good speed and who possesses moxie that I can see at his young age. I wish him well in his career especially since he is coming to the good guys.:yippee:

I can't recall what his measurements are, but hopefully he'll add another 15-20 pounds before he steps onto campus. Same with RJ. I've seen how our power spread system is physically taxing on our QB's.

We also offered 2020 DT Jaquelin Roy (6’3,325) from Baton Rouge University Lab.

“When I hear ‘Texas Football’ I think about a program that may become dominant in the upcoming seasons. I like Texas a lot! After meeting the coaches and just having conversations with them, they seem very cool. They are all trying to help you become a better player as well as a better person”.

IT says the commitment of Hudson Card goes not bother 2020 QB Malik Hornsby who is supposed to be throwing for Texas coaches on Tuesday

ps - Hornsby' HS coach was also Bryan Carrington's coach

Mookie Cooper (StL) has the wheels
His twitter is pretty pro-UT + he already has 2 CBs to us
Back-to-back classes with Jake then Mookie would be pretty sweet

4-star DE Prince Dorbah of Highland Park

#1 Duel Threat Qb in USA. Interesting thing is he goes to same high school as 2019 #1 Athlete Bru McCoy. Decision date supposedly in August.

Mike Farrell made a list called "RANKING 2020 QBs IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE TO THEIR TEAMS"

1. Hudson Card, Texas: Lake Travis High School produces quarterbacks, so I’m not concerned that Card played wide receiver last year while backing up Matthew Baldwin. In fact, I have seen so many elite quarterbacks emerge from playing different positions over the years and he could be the next one. His mobility and understanding of the offense could be perfect for what Tom Herman wants at quarterback in Texas and the faith they have shown in recruiting him so early speaks volumes.

RJ has already added some bulk and weight. Word is he has been putting in the work: weights, film, QB, stamina, all the work...this to go with his alleged 4.0gpa.

Who is this Mike Ferrell clown? Is he 18 years old? If he thinks or aspires to be a media type, try doing some research. If anyone knows this buffoon, please read this to him, as I am not sure he is capable of reading.

Todd Dodge, currently the head football coach at Westlake HS in the Eanes ISD, built a dynasty at Southlake Carroll, where he produced several quality D-1 quarterbacks. While visiting his daughter (she lived around the corner from Todd), Fred Akers asked Todd what he was going to do for a QB after making the state finals the last two years with the old one. Todd had a WR, who had started as a freshman & sophomore, being All State as a Sophomore. Todd's comment, "Daniel will be the best QB I've had so far".

Indeed, that WR Todd used as a QB did exceptionally well for two years before going to Missouri & the NFL. Why should anyone be concerned that Card could be the next Chase Daniel?

High 4-star Bryson Washington (6'2,187) listed Texas in his top ten. He originally played at Houston C.E. King but then moved to California this offseason. However, he is now back and will play at either King or Galena Park North Shore.
Per the 247 Comp, he is the No. 2 safety and No. 86 overall prospect in the country. The other 9 schools are Bama, ou, LSU, tOSU, Georgia, FSU, Oregon, UCLA and aggy.
